Faction-specific items, like hanging pendant of Thors hammer for FRR or a bust/ statue of Odin.
House Kurita can have a samurai sword hanging on the wall. Such things would be popular and bind you firmer to your faction.
Also, if it is possible, a war between two factions over a planet/map. Stretching over the course of a month perhaps.
Let me hear some thougts on this and suggestions too faction-specific items.
Remember that the factions have their Terran cultural backgrounds.

Would be great depending on how CW is implemented.
The wars will come, in the form of "fronts" that you fight for in CW.
As long as they have something to dissuade people from jumping ship and going to the FOTM faction, they could have all kinds of faction specific goodies.
