Members of Liao,
As you can see, House Liao is now bordering the Liao system, and after several attack cycles, has a chance to take back their planet.
The system is currently flying Marik flags, but will remove them in order to make room for the rightful owners of the planet.
.......here is the caveat......
Liao MUST attack Marik and/or Marik must attak Liao to move the algorithm. If we do not poke the borders, the available planets to attack and defend might stay stagnant.
The unit and leads of Marik have understood that an attack on Bora is NOT an act of aggression, but an attempt to move the algorithm northbound to give Liao a chance to attack and capture the Liao system.
Last time Liao attempted this, it was successful, and we asked if you wanted some defenders to make the drops a bit more fun. Nobody wants Ghost drops, and you get more c-bill from it. Let us know if you wish for us to put defenders during this attempt, and we an get something organized.
Feedback is appreciated.

My opinion is that with the up coming reset to not worry about it anyways. This will avoid any unnecessary drama like what happened last time we "tested" the algorithm

...but we are sooooo close to retaken Liao! I say we go for it but am unsure how many attacks is required to shift the algorithm quickly enough.
However, I want to say a big thank you to House Marik for offering this - regardless of how it all pans out. The Map Reset is looming and I can see where Max is coming from. I hope the reset isn't just for the sake of resetting......

The reset isn't set in stone, Russ mentioned it's dependant on the April 21st patch.

Dear Marik and Liao;
You forget who's tag is on the planet. We the Templars are willing to negotiate the terms of the Planet Liao. After all it was we who liberated the planet from Davion and have defended it relentlessly. We ask that you please send one of your Diplomatic Envoys to our forums and get into contact with either [GM] Banditman or [LM} Santanico.

Liao units will work on getting the planet come reset.
There seems to be this ebb and flow of "we need you, not really" against the clans. Does the Marik brass want Liao units fighting alongside them against Clan? If so, there will be no negotiating corridors. You make the common sense decision and then we work our way up with the algorithm to stand beside you against the Clans. Aside from that, happy to fight Davs all day long.
There is no negotiating and swapping planets to get us up to the front. Period. We expedite it and we stand along side you, or not at all. No more rogue mercs in Marik purple dictating policy.

Lol, thread pretty much becomes what I wanted to avoid anyways.
It's so hard being right all the time.

A negotiation implies you have something we need and cannot take...
Comeback after repelling us for a week and then we will consider negotiation.

Algorithm won't give us Liao attack vector until we most likely take Bora...
We keep taking all the Davion assets it tosses our way, but it most likely won't change the purple option before reset (if there is one). So we need to make a decision here.

House Liao has supported a non-aggression pact with House Marik, because it lets us concentrate on what is really important - providing Davions with harsh yet fair corrective action. Portents favor continuing this course of action.
However, we might build upon our relationship with the Free Worlds League by engaging in scheduled military exercises on select planets. Our leadership can always negotiate the slight border shifts that might result, but planned events would let us compete with an ally we worthy of our respect. This would be a nice change.
Such events should be mutually agreed upon and planned with the intent of fostering greater cooperation between Free Worlds League and Capellan Confederation units, especially against the Clans. We could take turns hosting these events, so as not to disrupt the Marik-Liao border.
