I like it. Parachute flare that provides area light in a night-time map, smoke signal in a day-light map, white-out of night vision facing it, and maybe even a ping on the battle map.

I could see an argument for auxillary functionality as anti-missile device if you assume an embedded micro-ecm/narc-like device that would attempt to override the locks on incoming missiles, but it would negate any other purpose because it would be shot down immediately. Better to just keep it as a basic light/signaling device.

I like the basic idea, but I would drop the anti-missile properties.

As for blinding night vision, increasing the light levels will have the natural effect of reducing visibility with night vision, so this would essentially happen without any need to specifically code the function.

Sure, lets add it. In this form, preferably. Then maybe we could have a few with explosive payloads too. ^_^

Headlights like in MW4 would be a way better i think. :D
