Matching players based on "talent" (in other words stats) has been a disaster in my opinion. I have not had so many 0-8 or 8-0 games since I started playing. I have never seen so many all Raven or all Cicada or all whatever teams as I am seeing lately. The matchmaker appears to match players based on stats and nothing else.

Its so bad at this point for me personally that I will probably stop playing (temporarily I hope) because I get into these mismatches every time I play. I realize that the matchmaker has only at most 30 seconds to take a look at the pool of players who q'd up for a match and match them but crist, the games have been a joke.

If players are going to be matched by stats, fine, but match them light for light, heavy for heavy and/or based on battle value as well. These matches where my entire team is dead in 4:00 minutes, having killed no one are sucking the enjoyment out of the game completely, I realize that it will happen sometimes but its happening every game. I know on the balance my leaving the game means nothing, but I do not think I am the only one who is really tired of the constant mismatches. A LOT of the people I had been playing with do not play anymore and Its looking more and more like I will stop playing also.

I like this game but crist, fix the matchmaker. Matching people on ELO and nothing else had made 75% of the games I've played horrible mismatches and I don't think I'm alone.

I have literally never had a problem like what you are describing, and if I had I would understand that the matchmaker is a work in progress. Eventually it will have to include BP or tonnage or some equivalent. Like so much with MWO, patience is the only answer at this point.

Same here. 70% of the matches are actually very well matched, even though I tend to die more often than that.
