Since this weekend is +50% money on founder mechs, I'm trying to find a decent C1 build. Right now I'm running 1 ERPPC, 3ML and 2 Artemis LRM-15.

Going with the understanding that LRMs are just.... bad right now, we will fill all other hardpoints with their largest weapon:

2 ERPPC
2 MLAS
2 Artemis SRM6 (2T of ammo)
17 DHS
XL 300

It seems like this is the strongest build possible now on C1?

The srm6s are just as worthless.

Yea, but there isn't anything else to spend the tonnage on... I guess you could do a LPLAS in the CT instead...

I had a 3LL 2 SRM6 build back in the day that did well.

Combat Cat ;) Lots of big lasers and heatsinks, with missiles in the ears or the ears taken off.

SRM 6 is probably only good with Artemis unless you can fit more to maximize splash damage like the A1 variant. The dispersion is too great to be useful in terms of accuracy.

I think if you are to fit TAG with your mech, it can benefit your SRM accuracy.

Been having the same issue. These are the variants I've tried -

300XL

2LPL, 2ML, 2SRM6A, 2JJ, 16DHS

3LL, 2SRM6A, 3JJ, 17DHS

3LL, 2LRM10, 2JJ, 16DHS

3LPL, 4JJ, 19DHS

3LL, 4JJ, 19DHS

Honestly my lag is so bad, I have to guess where my SRMs are going to hit.
I don't much care for PPCs, despite their much greater range over LPL and LL.
I formerly concentrated on Ravens and Cents, so I enjoy up close. And back when missiles were, you know, useful (if very over powered), I did fine with my C1. With that huge torso, and everyone and their mom running Gauss/PPC/AC/20 - brawling with them, or trading far shots, doesn't suit this mech very well. Played as a striker, or brawler support, you can put some great damage with either the LPL or LLs. I think I just need to quit Sua Sponte'ing my hass into bashing range, and stay back some.

So basically, the options are:

1) Use Artemis SRM-6
2) Use a large energy weapon (LPL or LLAS) in the CT instead of 2ML
3) Use 4 JJ's

Pick 2.

There's literally nothing else to do with the available tonnage. I guess you could go for a standard engine, but when you are getting CT cored by Gauss & PPC's, I really don't think that gains you anything.

PPCs and Gauss is the current name of the game, ignore those worthless 2 missile hardpoints and go for the direct fire weapons.

Well, I don't know about LRMs, but my 4 ASRM6 8R went from a 78 pt alpha to a 54 pt alpha overnight. That's quite a nerf. LRMs feel like they were hit even harder.

...ag is unbearable. I'm tripping my balls all over it. I have no idea where my C1 will land since the lag will teleport me two tow hours back.

**** it I'm not playing MWO anymore till a hotfix is cooked.

I'm currently running 300xl, 2x ERLL, 2x MPL, 2x ASRM6, 4/4 JumpJets, 15 DHS.

Works quite well for me, 2x ERLL is nice to have on Tourmaline and Alpine where you can outrange most non-ballistic weapons.

Yes SRMs aren't nearly as good as they once were, but honestly you've got the hardpoints, and if you use ML or MPL in the CT you may as well use them (due to having leftover tonnage). They still do deal ~12 dmg per launcher.

I was using a 2 A-LRM15, 1 ERPCC, 2ML, 1 TAG set up. I emptied 3 tons of ammo into a stalker (plus some PPC shots) about 400m away and barely had him on internals... I haven't tried to use it since.

Works quite well. Jump jets + 2xER PPC is nice. At close range even one LPL is quite effective and when heat allows you can fire PPC's. Streaks are nerfed too but that's just 4 tons for them and you can fire them without aiming or concentration.

I've benn running this variant again and i found that I'm sticking with medium lasers or medium pulse and Srm6 with no art is fine.
probably cause I'm using a 300STD... mehs

any varient of a poptart sniper, combat cat, or support cat works well. Personally i prefer the 3 LPL varient with 2 srm 6s. I have never been a fan of LRM, except in a team setting, as they are to easy to defeat, and right now are basically a waste of tonnage at .8 damage per missile or whatever it is. that cat that fiifoo listed actually looks interesting i will give it a try.

I run a 300 std, 2LL, 2ML and 2 SSRM2 to handle the fast mechs. It was my favorite mech overall before the nerf, but it is still pretty good.

I had a large laser in the CT before, I really like the 2 MLs instead and group them separately.

I still run 2xMPL, 2xLL, 2xStreaks with a standard 260 engine. That build was made in times of repair&reload, so no XL - btw. with endo and DHS I have no more crits to fill the empty tonnage and i don't like to go out like that.

It's still my favorite mech within my 'bay and i make the most kills and lulz with it. No need to change it :P
