So it is Sunday evening and I want the speed tweak for my two Hunchies, which means I need a third one.

I currently have the Founders 4G and the 4SP. The latter is my favorite mostly because of its versatility (Running 1ERLL, 2MLL, 2 SRM6+Artemis, 14DHS, Endo Internals. and XL255 right now, looking at trying 2LL, 3ML and lots of DHS.) I am not too good with ballistics (blaming my ping of ca 150 :P ).

So dear fellow Mechwarriors, which Hunchie would you propose as my 3rd?

The 4H is ballistic with lots of energy, could do 2LL and 3ML.
The 4J looks close to the 4SP with most energy points in the torso.
Or the 4P, a ML boat (will it ever run cool?), a SL boat (gotta get really close), or the 2LL 3ML loadout that I can do with the 4SP.

I can not decide, neither option really sticks out. Help..
.Edit: Oh great, posted in the wrong forum.
@Mods could you please move this, I had too many tabs open, sorry.

4p... just for something different.

The 4p is nowhere near my favorite. But I'd feel truly miffed if I bought one of the others because they're so similar to what you have.

4P!

Those 9 Medium Lasers cut of limbs and core unwary mechs like a charm.
On elite you can get 3 Shots before you overheat, that's enough to core even an Assault.

The trick is to evade longer brawls.
Run in, do your 3 shots and get out to cool down.

With 92kph you can easily get in the back of some heavies/assaults where you kill em with 2-3 well placed shots.

Edit: It's also one of the best light mech hunters. 45 Laser damage to the knees do wonders against them. :P

4p is my favorite the laser boating is so much fun but needs proper grouping of lasers else you will overheat very fast

If you enjoy the 4G and have been successful with your build then get the 4H and build it the same or change it up with an AC/10 and 4 med lasers. I have one and it's lots of fun, good on range, good on speed and looks pretty in my colors. Get the 4H!

4P, it's a plasma torch on legs, stick a standard 260 in it and have a blast

Thanks guys,

I bought the 4P and will play around with it this evening.
@Havok1978 will try to squeeze a STD260 in there.
@Werewolf486 With ballistics I am okay-ish, will wait for state rewind for ACs.

Got 'em all. Like 'em all.

Glad you got the 4P. Out of them, it would be the easiest to fall in love with.

Hunchbacks have always been great to use in combat for any beginning and experienced pilot alike.

Remember that they excel best in close quarters with lots of cover. Avoid open fields whenever possible. It's designed for the city.

The Hunchback is a respected and feared Reunification War-era street fighter that has been in production since its introduction in 2572. Built for urban combat and close range brawling, this BattleMech has the heavy armor and weaponry to stand up against any foe in the dense cover of a city environment. Its heavy armament does come at a cost: a relatively slow speed of 64.8 km/h and lack of jump jets. In the open, the Hunchback's lack of long-range weapons makes it little more than a slow moving target

Check back for a side by side 4P / 4SP comparison within the same match in classic vertical console split screen!

Hunchback 4J

Hunchback 4H (Default rig, 691 damage)

Hunchback 4G (Pugging, default rig. 4 kills first round; two after losing the hunch) Skip to 2:38

Definitely the 4P with 9 med lasers. I put the arm-mounted lasers on group 1 and the 6 in the hunch on group 2. The head-mounted one is for peeking over hills and for the occasional alpha strike. Nothing like one-shotting stationary catapults (or anything else, really)!
