Toughness XP bonus is awarded whenever you took a lot of damage and died in the heat of battle. Mostly applicable to Assault mechs, as it's kind of their purpose on the battle field - to absorb hits and hold off the enemy for as long as possible.

The more damage you take, the more bonus you get. Number-wise, I was thinking of 1XP per extra dmg you took aside from what caused your mech's destruction (can be balanced later).

For example, you get destroyed by somebody taking out your CT. In this case aggregate damage to everything but the CT is taken into account.

If you were barely yellow in other parts at that time, you may get a subtle 50XP bonus. If only your legs survived (I had this one time), you should get bigger incentives.
