The turret and weapon itself probably weigh as much as a Commando if not more.

Now the Navy just needs to reduce the effective range of their lasers to 450m, their MGs to 90m, and their missiles to 1000m and we are on to something :)

I think Rail Gun is just another name for Gauss Rifle

If I'm not mistaking, the Gauss Rifle is actually a Coil Gun.

I'm pretty sure we're looking at tech 9000000000000x better than BT tech.

I could show you an M4 and that would be super lostech by BT standards.

Rail Gun and Coil Gun work in different ways. They both use electromagnetism to propel a projective to Ludicrous Speed™, though.
