Sorry for the heavily random LRMing, mine was a position of oppositional irritation. It was only as the last of you fell that I realized I had been poking a stick in the eyes of the ZhiZhu. Forgive my lack of cordial greeting, as I have lately been joining the servers mid start up sequence, the moment to meet and greet whittled away by necessity for battle.

[Mainly I just wish I was in a flashier mech

(I missed the free clan camo purchase date by a couple days

{so its just colour bars and bare metal

<fringe world problems>})]

I know i see you fairly often actually, getting lrmed is all good, me and the othe zz guy i usually play with goof around (the struggle of being a 2man against 12 mans is real...)......and a lot XD (or maybe ts just me and not him...) and i dont put armor on to not get shot, not to mention i bring ams in hopes enemy has lrms (hate it when ya bring 5 tons of ams equiment and nothing for them to shoot at...), other wise my atlas k is basically 95 tons............ another mech lodred has never gotten pics of... -_- (curse you kon) its patrially because my mechs dont get painted XD lorded no like stock green

Define the "perfect" screenshot. I believe that we as humans, or in this context, gamers, have different opinions or definitions on what is "perfection".

This is because we all experience reality different, as individuals, and our only tool to grasp this seemingly intangible reality, is our sensory receptors (audio ears, visual eyes, skin feeling etc...).

By default, our receptors are also completely limited in the ranges that they operate, thus we experience such an infinitesmall "arena" or "zone" of this so called "reality".

Therefore, there is no perfect screenshot or perfect anything I argue. The concept is illusory.

plot twist, its the thread itself thats perfect for screenshots *duh duh duhhhhh*

Hey, so I linked a number of things from this thread to a post about the game's deteriorating visual quality, including a few shots showing off inverse kinematics, internal damage textures, post process effects, Lordred's texture quality chart, and some other stuff. If you have anything you want to chime in there, go ahead, and sorry for just linking without asking- I was in a bit of a crunch last night.

We did actually get Russ' attention for a moment, so if there's anything you want to add, it might be a good time to head on over, maybe see if you can bring the temporal AA bug to his attention or something.

Thread is not dead, more will come. Please continue to be patient, I am focused on the AA related bugs atm since we have attention drawn to it.

No problemo

I was expecting a new update from you, and apparently I was correct in thinking the AA bug is keeping you at bay.

Saw the infamous Lordred in a match the other night, I think it was HPG, not sure, good game though. Wondered if you got any footage of that one, maybe Tuesday night...

Since I haven't followed this thread much, have there been any videos of me losing with me in it?

I've seen Kon in lots of matches.

I know there are at least a couple. I don't know which ones though.

If he's playing solo he isn't likely recording the match. Pictures might happen but I don't think he'd be doing video.

I felt like I was on the field with Victor Davion in that match, seeing him on there improved my morale so much, I wanted to kill every enemy on the field and I felt like I could. Haha. Anyways, always good to see the unoffical MWO celebrities in game.

Right shift + F11.
Same keys to turn it back on.

For a fun effect. Power off. Disable the HUD. Power on.
Now when you turn on the hud, you'll see the "start-up" hud animation.

Seen and demonstrated here at the beginning here.

I like to sharpen the images a tiny bit in GIMP. Just a little touch to make it slightly higher quality.

Also, under the little "Colors" tab there is a "Curves" editor. You can really make the images look amazing with it (enhancing the lasers is one example). I know you don't do too much post-capture editing, but minor application of those two tools makes the image far more appealing.

Also, has anyone tried to do a tuxedo paint job on an Atlas or Victor? If so, please tell me the colors so I can run the Mech while playing Sharp Dressed Man in the background.

Haven't tried it. Though I think within reason it is somewhat possible.

Side note: Lordred de-green that map; the green is horrifically reminiscent of Caustic. Maybe we can show PGI how to use colors without getting stupidly one-dimensional with color schemes.
