No, there has been no improvement to the existing line up, I only added the new mechs we have in game to the list.

In the mean time,

The issue is caused by Cryengines Temporal AA, which uses offset frames to create an AA effect. It is very low budget and has next to no system cost, however it can cause image ghosting (Halo effect).

The way to get around it is to use a non Temporal AA, which would give you MSAA, TXAA, or to disable PostAA. At this resolution, I want to disable PostAA, however the game is not accepting that command. Yes, I can set it to No AA, but the game does not take the command, it keeps PostAA on.

I went over this in depth with Matthew Craig, however he claims he could not replicate what I, and a great deal of others see.

Yes, I can simply use MSAA, or TXAA to bypass it. However at this resolution, I lack the firepower to do so. 4K is still a young res, and it will take a while for the industry to catch up.

Transcript from my exchanges with Matthew, who was very helpful in his attempts to peg the problem down.

Peoples PC's change frequently and constantly. Thanks for posting your specs.

I have an
Intel i7 Devils Canyon 4.6GHz OC
16 GB Trident 2300MHz DDR3
Nvidia GTX 980 Stock
Corsair 512GB SSD

The reason I asked is I was curious if I should look into investing in a 4k monitor this year. Since most cards and games still lack support I was going to hold off till the end of next year and buy another GTX 980 and a 4k monitor with G-sync

Sorry, I thought you were going to be another person telling me the 'image ghosting' was due to computer performance (you have no idea how much that irked me when people make uneducated accusations like that)

My 4k performance is better with the GTX-980, but 4gb is not enough, for 4k, we WILL need a GPU with a higher Vram capacity, I am presently waiting on the Titan 2 to see how it looks, I may finally lay my FX-8350 to rest by than and get a Hasswell-E, or if the price is right, a Broadwell. Or as a stupid AMD fanboy to a fault a times, if for some god forsaken reason they give us a new CPU architecture, and its remotely good, I may get that.

4k IS playable at very high settings, I've logged the performance of several rounds the 980 can hold up about 42fps at that resolution with this game.

(4k resolution of two of the images posted above)
Warning, 5mb+ each

All good man I know how you feel, I was curious if my rig could run 4k but not curious enough to but a 4k monitor and be let down :)
I don't know too much about "settings" and "specs" just know I barely push my rig on the game and might start playing with my User.cfg

Hopefully the Titan works out for you it may be cheaper/better to get a second GTX 980 and run sli I don't think they will make a Titan 2 unless I missed an announcement I know two 980's run 4k pretty well at least according to benchmarks. I'm look forward to the next Nvidia cards where they will get taller instead of longer. Quite promising future ahead for Nvidia.

Thanks for the warning I'll click on them when I get home on my mobile right now.

Can someone please show me some Locust action? I've been wanting to see a Locust bob and weave through enemy traffic as they attempt to kill it... Thanks!

Suggestion,
build a template (or a few even[centered, corners{personally the cornered one looks best<though I would put it equally close to the edges>}]) that has the Mechwarrior logo. Work on the pictures separately and apply the templates as a finishing step to the out put files. This way you can produce very clean and uniform sets of backgrounds.

Also the contrast of the Gryphon.. much like.. Aim for that level of detail on each one and you have a winning pack for sure(people will beg you to produce multiple levels of ratios/sizes).

Great work.

The Griffin was my favorite. I plan to redo the Atlas and Raven with those details.

I don't like the idea of the template terrain though. The Logo and text is template, but I like the variable terrain personally. Keeps things different.

You should indeed vary the terrain on each shot. Its uniformity of the logo I was getting at.

It can be frustrating at times, its peculiar about some actions(3d input would help alot). That being said you have massive brick libraries to pull from including translucent pieces and actuated pieces. Also parts on hinges can be operated.
You used to be able to actually place an order for your build. It will output a list of parts and if I remember correctly it can even output builds instructions.

ps. Thats ED-209 (the police robot)
