How do you make your shots look so colorfull and shiny? I tried to touch up a screenshot I took and it looks bad. Although I'll admit right away I'm a photoshop newb. Any tips you can give would be much appriciated.

You have to start with a really high quality image from the get go, from there you work it into shape I start off with a picture at 3072x1920, and finish with an image at 1920x1200

Ok, a dumb question; how do you get a really high quality image from the get go? I took a screenshot with fraps, 1920x1080px, and it is somewhat pixely. How do you take your screenshots?

I've covered this though the last 28 pages but perhaps some more solid examples.
Here is a completly un-edited shot. Native resolution of 1920x1200 just with a few driver level tweeks.
Now here is the exact same moment @ 3072x1920, then downsampled to 1920x1200
3072x1920
Downsampled to 1920x1200
See the difference?
Downsampled vs orginial
But were not done yet, lets adjust the color saturation, and contrast a little.
And the difference between where we started, and the final product.

Ooo, an early shot of my flamer Jager! Here it is in action with the new trademark oranges as recorded by Lordred. It's a JM6-S though (Lordred, update that title!). Also in here is another vid comparing the crosshair of 1PV and 3PV.

Also, here's a vid with me in my Misery near the end of which Lordred pops on to scold me for not being on. With that, I apologize to you, the fans. Gomen nasai!

Also, my apologies if I missed it earlier in the thread, but has anyone found a way to truly disable motion blur? I've got it off in the options menus, but it persists in-game no matter what I do. It's maddening; not only does it make the game look bad in general, but it makes taking good screenshots of action nigh-impossible. The four I've uploaded suffer only modestly from this, but most of the shots I take wind up looking like I shot on a half second shutter speed.

There were bunch of us going for a cap on enemy cap point Gamma. Me and the cicada arrived there first. We positioned ourselves behind the cap structure so our backs were to the maps bounds. I turned to face the cap structure while waiting the cap to tick down. Suddenly there was a big boom just to my right. It sounded like the combined hit of LRM's and PPC's. I turned to my right and saw nothing there, just the empty terrain. I wondered to myself, wasn't there a cicada here with me? I wonder if he ran off to cap another point, but what was the weapons sound then? I wasn't hit by it. I thought oh my god, I hope I'm not standing on the cicadas dead body. I slowly backed up and then I saw something horrible. What I saw truly traumatized me. It was horrible.

You know, I never saw that question til now.
We had a few iterations of the design. But yes one of the problems is that the MPLs were too hot so we had SLs to back them up. We also tried MLs and SPLs. My current design calls for 5 SPLs and the AC/2. Works pretty well but needs to get awfully close.
Btw if you forgot or have no idea what I'm talking about... Click the arrow in the upper left it'll take you back to what page that question was on.
