I will preface this by stating I don't know too much about the the workings of computers, so my questions may sound a bit stupid. But, I need a bit of advice, or clarity if you will, about my computer's ability to run MWO effectively. I do need to update my drivers, but I want to know if even then, it will not run right.

My comp is completely stock and about a year old. It has a AMD processor that clocks in at 2.60, with 8 gigs of RAM and a AMD Radeon HD 6530d GPU. I want to that website that tells you if your comp can run a program, and it gave me an OK on everything (including the slightly slow processor) except the GPU. Even though it said I needed a 5600, and even showed my GPU exceeds the detailed requirements it shows as necessary for running the program. I did some more searching, and from what else I found, my GPU appears better than the 5600s, and other sites said mine should run it fine.
I ask because I did some checking since the last patch and the FPS issues it generated. I made changes others recommended and got my FPS back up, but it is still in the mid 20s. A couple of months ago, I was in the 30s. Will driver updates solve this, or am I just screwed?

You didn't give enough information on the Processor, but judging by the clock speeds, it's an older AMD chip.

In theory, you could run it.

That video card is going to run really slow though, you will want something in the 6800-6900 or 7800-7900 range for playing games.

If I was you, I would just download it and try it. It's free anyway.
