Hi Gihzmo.

I'm 40, recently joined AOD...one of the leaders is 60, but we have Mech pilots of all ages, from lots of countries, and AOD plays all kinds of games in addition to Mechwarrior.

There is a definite structure, and you sound very much like the type of mature player we have currently. I mean in attitude, not age, as age is just a number, and not so important, but all the guys I've played with from AOD are good fun, knowledgeable, and also pretty damned good at this game already.

Edit: Apart from Webtroll, of course. I'm beginning to wonder if he actually has both hands with all fingers and isn't missing an eye.

Lots of us play the Beta on our own TS server each night, so please get an application in, I'm pretty sure you will find it a great place to be. Oh, and we are all (getting) pretty good at the game, and there are some truly great players in the guild already that I'm learning from every night I play with them.

When the game gets a bit more involved, and the Planetary Control fighting comes about, I'm sure the "serious" players will start to get maps and tactics and all sorts going, but the game just isn't at that stage right now.

Have a chat with Wolvenhaven or Reinholt and they will explain it all to you, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

Plus if your lucky someone will make you a really fancy signature like mine! I still think it's the coolest one of all, but whatever!
