Just coming back into the game after a break (basically from the last wipe) I'm quickly getting to the point where I see that CBills will be useless so the need for new things to spend them on.


The Cooldown 9x9 looks good, but some other things would help.


Mine Layer
- This would be similar to the Mine Layer in Mech Commander which you could call up and lay down a mine field.
- It would be similar to the current "Air strike" though it would be "pre-set" in that you would likely call this early in the game it then drops a bunch of mines in a square around where you specify.
== Would likely have to be where Mech is standing rather than LOS because you could call for it FAR away (should be more defensive).
== Used to block/protect paths.
== Current team members should be able to see (and possibly not trigger them).
== Take 30 seconds to lay down the field from the time called (maybe more)
== Should not be a big grid, probably similar to an air strike grid.
== Quick impl would be just drops in, cool impl would be ship flys down, drops layer, which then proceeds to lay out mine field around in pattern, then either drives off to side, or gets lifted off.


Guardian Turrent(s)
- These would be similar to the ones in Mech Commander used to guard things
- Different costs for different levels.
== Scout Tower (Machine guns - low life - used mostly for spotting - easy to kill)
== Guard Tower (Lazer [or similar] - med life - used for spotting and defense - a bit harder to kill)
== Orbital Defense Tower (Gauss - high life - used for defense - hard to kill)
== You could have even more levels each varying in life and damage (AND COST)
== Also the time to place/build may change depending on level, scout is quick, while higher level takes longer.
== Quick Impl tower just shows up, cool impl Elementals show up and build tower.
== A Mech can destroy the tower by shooting at it
== A Tower under construction has less life than fully built(thus easier to destroy).


The either of these modules should NOT provide too much damage, and should cost relative to the amount of damage they do. These would help in Base defenses, blocking passes from mechs sneaking around, etc.
