If MWO did something like this http://www.figureprints.com/

Why get a model for your cockpit when you could get one for your desk?

YES.

Why would we want a model in our cockpit anyway, we know what the mech we're piloting looks like.

I'm fairly certain that PGI doesn't have the licencing rights for merchandising.

You know what I would pay for? Variant slots. I think they should worry about them before expensive models and the means to ship and make them.

I don't think they do, for some reason. I hope they get it eventually.

I bought one of those for my 70 troll shaman in 2008.

I wouldn't buy a 115 dollar figure of a Battlemech unless they did some SERIOUS work on the models to display EVERY weapon change, and the camo scheme. Simply put, the models don't display enough personalization to make a FP worth it.

Besides, it is L-O-A-D-S cheaper for someone to be enterprising and sell people custom painted tabletop minis. Send this person screenshots of your mech, he/she paints up the mini and sends it to you.

PGI and FASA should hash something out, because I'd actually consider buying something like that.

Tabletop scale figures using the MWO redesigns would be awesome.

Barring that, just some proper conversions of the in-game 3D models so that I could order shapeways or another 3D print shop to make me some would be great.
