With CW rolling out to factions first. Are you planning to join a faction now to get into the early CW meta-game.

Moving to a Merc unit later when the time comes should be easy I would think.

I rarely but sometimes game with a Merc unit but I am mostly a Marik Line Soldier. I really dont have the time to invest and subsequently let down a merc unit.

Filthy Merc, and proud to be one.

(would be nice if the Merc tag would show in game)

Nope, im actually preparing to leave, specially when from what i will see implemented of CW information. If what i suspect comes to reality, MWO will be Mechwarrior just in name and i dont need to fool myself to be able to play something because its the only version out there, fattening up greedy corpers which think that slapping a name tag to something, making vain promisses and then failing them and appealing to one's fandom from our golden years is enought to pull the rug under my bank account.

Too far?

I've been a Davion for over a decade, no plans to go running off to the Periphery just so I can fight over some pirate's godforsaken rock. I want to take Kurita's godforsaken rocks!

Our beloved Emperor (or Empress?) would be most displeased if I ever defected to mercenaries. If I ever leave, it'll have to be to an organization powerful and devious enough to shrug off the wrath of Capella- the Word of Blake. But that's years and years away.

<- Undercover clan scout waiting for the rest of the Pack, will most certainly NOT be joining a house, though I do enjoy partying with the Space Vikings ;)

Marik through and through.

Merc play sounds like it will be great and I would love to try it. But with a family and job, I can't make the kind of schedule commitment that a merc unit will require. My schedule is just not that predictable and that wouldn't be fair to the other people in my unit. I'm really happy about faction play in that regard, it provides an additional level of content without the real life conflicts that often occur with quild/clan/merc play in most MMOs.

Been Marik for around 15 years, why change now?

Speaking of Marik.

MARIK MONDAY MADNESS: 10PM Eastern, NGNG TS3 server, Bay 16 (or close to it). Shenanigans Sync Drops of 50-100+ players. Being Marik not required. Come join the fun.

Without knowing what you don't like about things around here, I guess a "so long" is in order. Hope you find what you want somewhere.

The game has mechs, pilots, Innersphere, Clans (TBD), Laser, missiles, no giant ********** of death. I am satisfied.

lol

Only the Mercenaries would require payment. Faction play will be free.

We'll continue having fun while you're preparing for the worst.

And yes, this character will be a member of the FWLM loyal to House Marik. I have another Founder character that will likely go Merc.

Will probably pick the faction with the best bonuses that day and change accordingly. But will need to how the flesh it out to be sure.
