People should understand that if there aren't bases, a team with faster mechs and a starting advantage (let's say, 1 kill) could avoid combat until the time is out - and win.
I would love Arena maps - small maps made for "deathmatch" or team deathmatch". But the currents maps are not made for this.

I´d say you didnt understand my hole post. I want a new game Mode + new maps ( i said earlier: Even thou creating Arena maps could be very easy compared to all the other maps.)
BTW avoiding combat in an Arena Map isnt possible.lol

MWO is a team based game at its core and in team play some times victory requires sacrifice. Is it frustrating to get capped certainly, but in a straight up fight it provides what is potentially the losing side a viable means of winning. If they want to rush your base to end the game from the beginning then do something about it instead of "It's my teammates problem," or "I hate base rushers." It can actually be a rather clever tactic if you spring an ambush on other teams base. I have also played on teams heavy in light 'Mechs where we rushed cap, took it down to about 1% just in case and then went on a rampage though a very confused and disoriented team and if things had gone south (they did not, we won 8-2 if I recall) we had a really good fall back option. Not being creative enough to use the cap to tactical advantage instead of just straight up short path to victory is not a short coming of the game mode, it is a short coming of the player. If you are willing to think outside the box a little, Assault becomes an extremely tactical and calculating game of TDM.

I also assume all this will happen well after both Community Warfare and the Clans have been added, so don't hold your breath.
As for regular game modes without capturing bases, I could see it working but you'd have to do something either to prevent a lone surviving light from forcing a boring draw by hiding all match or you'd have to give said light some realistic chance at pulling a win. Currently capturing deals with both problems.

Advertising would assume I'm getting something out of it. Which I am not. Well unless getting rid of a player who I feel is undesirable counts then maybe, but I bet it doesn't.
Go check the command chair posts since November at least. I'm not going to dredge all that up for you. I gave you an alternative to play and you didn't take it, so thats all I'm doing for you.
