So I had a funny incident just now, friendly raven 3L shoots me 4 times, but I didn't shoot back because I figured he has no IFF tags.

His buddy who could read chat confirmed my diagnoses was correct.

So post your funny bug experience in the following format,

"You know the bugs are bad when you don't respond to FF because the guy shooting you probably has no hud."

You know the bugs are bad when the seriously low fps since the 2 April patch makes you take an indeterminate vacation from MWO.

You know the bugs are bad when the program uninstalls after you spray insecticide on your PC.

No IFF is bad~

especially when I drive a dragon that cores people's backside.

On the flip side of things I could always use it as an excuse to blow up some crappy sniper warrior on my own team

You know the bugs are bad when a patch meant to fix bugs only introduces more bugs, in addition to failing to eliminate the original bug in question.

Had several graphical glitches over the weekend:

Dropped without IFF - Remembered which mechs were on my team and got 3 kills
Dropped without a Mini Map - Kept up my visual scanning and got 5 kills
Dropped without any HUD at all - Stayed with our main force and shot anything that shot at us, managed my heat by chain firing and stopping when I heard the warning, knew which areas to turn to protect by what Bitching Betty was telling me. No kills there but we won.

Bugs cannot stop me :P

That fps really has hit me hard....and you have it right that April 1 patch...has dropped it down so low I can literally watch each frame refresh...hell it is so slow that I can fricking count it...

Hey Dev team...been beta testing Mech Warrior games for almost 20 years now....and the same exact design problem always crops up....You design your toys for high end pc graphic systems...leaving over 70 percent of the pc base unable to play your new MW game....then your game fails because nobody steps up to play it other than the obsessive compulsive few die hards that are willing to invest thousands into high end gaming laptops or a thousand or so into a gaming desktop..

People with common sense...which is a quite rare commodity in the game design community...design games that can be played in a variety of environments....with the given and persistent reality of your PC base...you need an extreme low end graphics wise....to capture the majority of potential mech heads who are not rich enough to invest the bucks in a dedicated gaming PC.

Then you also have said game set up so that it can play the middle and the high end... Remember though...that middle and high end is less than 30 percent of your available market...the BIG market is in the low end laptops...

That's EXACTLY what WOW, Warhammer...and most of the other games have focused upon...

Yea..your low end user does not get the high level of pretties that give game designers orgasmic fits.....but they can STILL play and PAY!!!

Right now,,,you have a really REALLY* buggy beta that covers only the middle high end and high end market... This game is thus almost certain to be at best an irrelevant niche game simpy because of the lack of real market research...

Get smart...do some serious revamping of your strategy...and make this game's low end work....

Because after almost a decade without Mecha...I want this game to succeed!!!!

You know the bugs are bad when: Server lag is so bad you get more kills with LRMs than with AC20s.

$1000 dollar desktop, is not high end, its med spec all day, and it plays mwo great.

these people that wont pay for a decent computer arent likely to pay anything into the game either.

You know the bugs are bad, if people start boosting about how they can play better because of them.

if i spend $1000+ on a computer just to play a certain F2P game, do you honestly think i'm going to dump money into said game (especially when the MC econ is just a WoT copy-paste with maybe a step forward...)?

It would be really strange to spend that much money ONLY to play MWO, but you could use that computer to play other games too...

I don't think there are any players who would say they play better because of bugs, there are players who can still play well despite of bugs.

You know bugs are bad when that after dual AC/20'ing a mech someone in the team chat types "WTF??" and you notice that he's dead and you are the only person that has a kill.

*True story.... poor Cicada :P

next to these I had the funny disco jittering bug and the mini map bug where it doesn't rotate. All in a row.
All games won. :P tho' the jittering bug really makes it difficult to aim, I can mostly see the crosshair but it pains my eyes looking at it (the effect is mostly on the left side of my screen once it happens to me).

oh and did someone already had the bug that you can still lock on a dead mech? sometimes the games doesn't recognize dead mechs and handles them like they're still alive.
