far too much armor on the build imo. the alpha on that build must be scary.

This Atlas build looks pretty good if you're into chipping the paint off enemy mechs and nothing else.

Ok, maybe this is gonna get flamed, but...
Back in CB I had a similar build on my Founder's AS7-D(F) and tore stuff up with it. Pre-ECM of course. You could jam this in the face of any assault and kick the snot out of them as they panicked and overheated repeatedly. I remember one epic game where I cleaned up with 7 kills in it and was the last man standing. Only difference is I think I ran some combination of pulses on it. The whole point of it was I was tired of getting the big gun ripped out almost instantaneously since everyone aimed there.
Can't do it anymore though. Sad face.

Put in Endo and you'll get room for more Heatsinks.

Well, the only thing I can suggest to make it more OP is to upgrade the engine to an XL and add more MG ammo.

I respectfully suggest that the Atlas AS7-D-DC is gimp. After all, we know that ECM is no good and streaks still dominate the battlefield.
The widely-feared AS7-K not only includes an XL engine in the stock load-out, saving you millions of CBills; but also can mount two Anti-Missile Systems -- greatly improving mech survivability. And with two more energy hard-points than the D-DC, you carry one less Machine Gun but gain TWO Flamers. That's right, TWO. Finally, an LRM20 is supplied with the mech since, as we all know, missiles are dominating the MWO Universe.
Don't worry about those Single Heat Sinks. Now that Coolant Flush has been integrated, heat is no longer a factor in team games. As long as you've got one or two others in your PUG who have a working HUD, you should do fine against those sync droppers and teams of two 4-mans. Heat is not a factor.

Full Atlas with 0.88 point alpha and 1.6dps - oh yeah
