...or a Spot Assist for that matter?
I get that the "Savior Kill" should be more of a "Savior Kill Assist" (it's never awarded for an actual kill) but it seems to come up randomly for me. Sometimes I never do any damage to the player, I'm just in the general area. And what constitutes the savior part of it?
Spot assists as well - they just don't make sense and are inconsistent.
Can anyone break down how these mechanics work?

Savior kill is when you kill (or assist on killing) someone that is shooting a heavily damaged teammate.
Spot assist is when someone indirectly fires LRMs based on the targeting lock you've acquired.

Savior Kill: If the enemy has damaged a friendly mech that is at 50% or less total health and it dies, everyone that damaged the enemy in those 10 seconds gets the bonus.

From http://mwomercs.com/...12197-05032013/
"Savior Kills: Upon killing an enemy Mech. If that enemy had been attacking a teammate who has a critical component that is 50% health or lower within the last 10 seconds you will be awarded 7500CBills, and 150XP.
Defensive Kills: Upon killing an enemy Mech. If that enemy was currently capping a base, anyone who had attacked the capturing Mech within the last 10 seconds will be awarded 7500CBills, and 150XP."
And from the August 21, 2012 closed beta patch notes:
"Spot XP: A 25 XP bonus if you have someone targeted and a teammate who does not see him locks on with LRMs. Awarded only once per team mate per target."

So...if that is the case, can someone explain how I got that amount of XP for Savior Kills then? The math doesn't seem to add up. Only one of the kills that I know of was actually capping base, but even still...that would mean I had to have hit every person on the other team, and 2 of them would have had to have been capping base (this was from assault).
The math doesn't seem to add up...though I am very proud of this round.

I think you are confusing Savior Kills and Defensive Kills. a Defensive kill is what you get for killing someone who is capping your base.
you apparently got 7 savior kills.
150 x 7 = 1,050
Quite a trick considering you only apparently did damage to 6 of the enemy (2 kills, 4 assists)

Argh..I'm an *****...for some reason, I was stuck thinking 10 x 150 = 1050. Back to school with me, but you're right...not sure how I pulled that trick off, either.
Oh well...still prolly one of the best matches I've had, all around.
