This device here is called a mouse. You use it to aim.

I can't believe how many players I shadow that only use the keyboard, it's no wonder you can never hit the broadside of a barn.

You can aim with the keyboard?

I'm going to my options screen to check that out. I never realized it was possible, let alone anyone would do it.. Wow.

There are people that don't use the mouse for aiming?

I have seen people do it (on my team, of course). No joke. Also, no damage was dealt that day.

Lead your opponent!
When you click the mouse you will stop moving it, making you miss your target. Just lead it by a little every extra 100m of distance.

You don't have to stop moving the mouse when you click. With shotguns and lasers follow-through is very important.

When I click my mouse I target the closest enemy to my reticule... but that's just because I set it up that way.

Yes, it's called point at the enemy and shoot!
Torso twisting isn't in some players vocabulary.

You are either on a Mac, or that is a sewing machine pedal.

MWO may play better on the sewing machine...

Ah, the 80's. The age of control peripherals of questionable quality. I actually had something called a "QuickShot Joyball" at one point for my Commodore 64. Basically it was a joystick with the stick replaced by a huge plastic hemisphere bigger than your palm. In fact the whole thing was too big and unwieldy and had all the drawbacks of a regular joystick and trackball with the redeeming features of neither one. :P

Not to mention dozens upon dozens of crap quality joysticks found on the market at the time. None of them could hold a candle to the finest joystick of the time, the Competition Pro 5000 with the TAC-2 coming in at a close second. :P
