The Aces Wild held a pirates event yesterday night. We had 8vs8 running constantly. All levels of skill were involved and had great fun. Basically it was 8 of any stock mechs (a.k.a. the Pirates) against any light/med customized mechs. This is a routine event that has been going on since before I started.
I think the Pirates took most of the whooping, but people were having fun and getting to know each other. Plus the exercise was building skills such as target designation, focusing fire and general combat awareness. Pretty cool that they can make training exercises fun. Didn’t matter if you were an Ace or new to the game, everyone was involved.
Give the Aces Wild a shot and sign up as a cadet.

The Alegro News Net
Further information on the Attack by the Kaizoku Fusiliers has become available. It appears that 2 of the three attacks were actually diversions aimed at increasing the chances of the lightning raid conducted against the Caprica Corporation being successful. As stated in the previous update elements of the Aces Wild 2nd and 4th Battalion infantry assets were involved in stopping the Kaizoku infantry as they attempted to steal the materials stored in the Caprica warehouses.
It is evident that the Aces Wild Command Group in conjunction with A.I.M.D was able to correctly deduce the attack plan of the Kaizoku Pirate group and place the proper defenses where they would do the most good.
In other fighting the diversionary forces were driven off with very little in the way of damage done to the Aces Wild Forces. Using elements of the 8th, 15th and 1st Aerospace squadrons for support the Aces Wild pushed the attackers off planet, inflicting heavy losses while only losing 4 Mech's, not one of them resulted in the death of the Mech Pilot. The defense was lead by Alpha Company 1st Battalion and supported by elements of Charlie Company 1st Battalion and Delta and Echo Companies 2nd Battalion.
Meanwhile the planet Kincaid was also hit by a pirate raid. The raid there was successful and they came away with several Mechs and the supporting equipment, stolen from the Planetary Militia. It is reported that Officials from the Kincaid Government are approaching the Aces Wild about a contract.
