Simple enough: Swap the arm lock button from "Press and hold" style to a toggle switch, preferably with some sound feedback (From a beep to Betty) when you switch.

Long story short, there's many 'mechs I want to use Arm Lock on in a toggle, and it would be slightly more convenient if I could swap it on and off with one button, instead of needing to play keyboard twister (most notable when jumping in a Treb/3D while focusing my arm/torso weapons).

It would also make the "Default to on?" button largely unnecessary for new players, so they won't learn bad habits (but still start with arm lock.) Just begin people defaulted to on, and remember their setting (like a weapon group) in the next match, however it was at the end of the last match. Encouraging new pilots not to use their arms hurts them in the long run.

Anyway, this is about as simple as suggestions can get, so I've probably said too much.

Voted yes, but with a slight change. Instead of swapping the toggle for the momentary (press and hold), add the toggle and keep the press and hold. As long as its in-game all ready, may as well make it as flexible as possible to use.

Agreeing with Donas. Keep it as a press and hold, but offer the option of toggle. Simple option, but very usefull.

A simple suggestion that would also be very good if added to the game. Yes.

I'm all for giving the player more UI customization options. There would be no reason to not keep both methods, really.
