on the start/Play page in the Upper Right I discovered a button that lets you turn off auto Updates or turn it on and reselect the temp folder location. Any ways I noticed the Auto Update was Unchecked Isn't it suppose to be checked by default so MWO can update ? Just wondering.

Nice discovery. I was just discussing with another teammate how to make this more obvious.
But, to clear things up: the "Auto Update" option is just used to start the patching automatically when running the patcher (assuming there's an update to process). In other words, you don't have to click the "patch" button. You'll still have to click Play in order to launch the game once patching completes (or if there are no updates), but some people thought it was worthwhile to have this option available.
