My suggestion is to take a look at Hawken. That is how I feel a lot of mech combat is meant to be. At least the 5/8+ MP mechs.

I think Hawken is fine for it's own genre (Mechanized First Person Shooter), but the Mechs move too nimbly and are jumpjetting constantly all over the place. Watching the footage, I get the feeling I'm a human sized person in a robot suit rather than piloting a war machine.
Still, for what it is, the game world and attention to detail are top notch.

Agreed. Should be a good shooter and a fun game, but it's not what Mechwarrior should be like.

Uh...
No.
Look to the Lore.
This is meant to be Mechwarrior, not "generic mecha game version eight zillion."
Otherwise, the decisions that get made are purely arbitrary.

Seems closer to Robotech/Macross than BattleTech. It's cool, but not what MWO needs to be.

This game is the portrait of how not to handle color in MWOnline. It has only token splashes of color and only where it doesn't make any difference. "Oh look, a billboard. Now is that a mech or another random pile of ****?"
