I like how PGI has ignored my opinion that the Atlas-K isn't really sellable due to current "limitations".

Most of the increased cost can be attributed to the XL engine... which is suicide for an Atlas.

Oh smooth thank you PGI, might pick myself up a nice Awesome 9M was considering one of these the other day but the MC cost was a bit high for me. Rasalhague should be happy with cyan colours right? along with some Steiners.

It's honestly a valid option for people who don't have a lot of time and have some spare cash. I'm personally considering dropping 30$ on the game to get the CN9-YLW hero and the CTF-4X so I can make a mock Hamerhands, and then use the rest for the staggering amount of XP my CN9-AL has so I can get a head start on the YLW or 4X.

Nice to see the Woodland Camo on sale - this is a very good camo, I think (to each their own).
The colours - also nice

I already have the Awesome 9M - but it is one of the better Awesomes. Good deal for those looking to pick one up.

The Atlas K and Stalker 3H - well i don't own, and i don't want to own. I have the other Atlas models and only 1 Stalker.
The K with the XL - not for me. Atlas always seems to be a priority target (with good reason) and I am not so good with XLs so I would just be a smoking hulk in it most of the time.
Altho the Stalkers are very tough, i just don't like them much - again to each their own.

I think it is pretty cool that PGI seems to run some kind of a sale every now and then. Like others, i want to see a sale on MC, but hey maybe it will come. For those looking for paints or camos or some big mechs to add to your bays - this is a good time.

If you don't like the sale - don't spend your money - its that simple. I don't really see the point of complaining about it jsut because it doesn't have something that you want, others might. I bet there will yet be another sale coming soon, maybe that's one for you...

Yes. My time is worth less than my money to me. Many are in the opposite camp, and have more money than time, so grinding 3 hours out of your 10 hour playtime total per weekend isn't acceptable.

For everyone complaining about them not putting MC on sale...consider their view on the subject. They leave the MC prices the same, but they periodically reduce the MC prices on things people like to buy (premium time for example, colors etc). So, while you might not get your discount on the front end, if you're patient, you'll get it on the back end.

For PGI, it allows them to shape the behaviors of people who are somewhat impulse buyers, who might not have taken a stab at some "sub-optimal" Mech such as the Atlas-K, without incentives like this to do so, there by increasing their profits and increasing their metrics feed on the underplayed Mechs.

And on a side note...Atlas K are decent Mechs, they just need to be rebuilt like anything else. Swap XL for standard engine, don't bother with two AMS etc.

I might get an Atlas K just for the 300 XL. I've already got the 8 basic perks for my Atlas D, and I'm ready to move on to another Atlas. I see this as getting another Atlas, plus a 300 XL, and a 'mech with 2 AMS slots (missile shield). I think that can work alright.

The Awesome 9M also looks good. Might add a 4th Awesome to my collection, perhaps replace my 8R. I can only get one of these though. Hrm, decisions decisions.

I feel like the Atlas K should've gotten a bigger discount, like 50%. I cannot really recommend the Atlas K MC purchase to anyone UNLESS you want a new Atlas and a 300XL engine. I'm not sure what Stalker variant that is so I guess it's fine. The 9M is an okay mech too if you get a 360-380XL for it. I think I bought mine for MC too (the 9M) when I was too tired from grinding.

Cosmetics are all good. Go buy those~

The engine on the 9M is annoying since it's a 320XL. It's 5 rating too high to use on Catapults/Jaggers and 5 rating short of allowing an extra heat sink. There aren't that many builds that require a 320XL either, so if you can get one or the other, I'd probably go with the Atlas -if- you are looking to get a good engine with it. Can't go wrong with a 300XL. It goes into so many builds from Jenners to Dragons.

Yes, my Catapult K2, my Awesome 9M, and my HBK-4P were all MC purchases, but admittedly I misclicked on the 4P since I was supposed to get it with c-bills. There are times when you want a mech but don't want to grind anymore and you have disposable income.

Oh yes colors for sale! I'm loving this. Picked up a couple of premium greens when they were on sale and will definitely pick up cyan colors too.

Yeah the XL320 is awkard. I use mine in some builds but it is generally an undesirable engine. The K's XL300 is a horrible engine for the Atlas itself but has a lot of use on other mechs.

This sale is obviously geared to increase the usage on some under utilized mechs. It'll be interesting to see if we see more of them.

The 300XL engine is, IMO, the best engine in the game. I've literally used it in every single weight class. Jenner, Cicada, (Catapult?), Awesome. It's better in some than others, but man, it's a crazy good engine eh?

Would you guys just let me repaint that friggen Highlander... I have a lot of trouble getting over the fact that you all wussified one of my old mechs from back in the day with that color scheme... wich devs Idea was that . I would really like to play Roe sham Bo with him ... or her...... I don't care if a can of paint cost the price of a new assault mech just put it in game ..Great game BTW thank you all so much for bringing my universe back ... I only played MechWarrior from 91-2003 and no other game until its demise.. I have also specifically built this computer for this game am running a 240 solid state with amd 7700 radion grafix card and a amd 4100 quad core processor ... I get no lag and the game runs amazing .. I only get the hud glitch every 8-10 games Also this computer only has installed on it MechWarrior and no other games and is not used for anything else but this game Have good one
