Internal combustion engine Mech. It's on the same level as Industrial and mining Mech. The only ones that would use that mech right now are Pirates and back water worlds or in the Dark Age time line when standard battlemechs become scarce.
And that's the ONLY reason why they won't add it.

The hero variant has a standard lrm 20
Somehow I think that variant was created by space rednecks. If a world has native predators that require 2 SL/3MG to down, find another world man, because it's not worth it.

Something about ICE that I thought should be in the rules but wasn't (that i remeber... didn't use ICE that much): fuel. Not necessarily for the boom factor (shooting a gas tank to explode a car is right there with Stackpoling a fusion engine) but more for the campaign factor. Put a hole in a gas tank and you're likely to run out of gas PDQ.

But you've got plenty of fuel from all of the 20 ton super bison poop. Anyway, the side effect of the ICE engine is that it keeps mutating the bison to the point where you'll soon need a 100 ton super bison herder to keep up. Btw, aren't you at least a little mortified by the fact that it has 3 tons of cargo space? Is that for the weak super bison that didn't make it? Its like a built in butcher shop or something.
