Lol... Not going to happen. It's an I.C.E Mech.

Internal combustion engine Mech. It's on the same level as Industrial and mining Mech. The only ones that would use that mech right now are Pirates and back water worlds or in the Dark Age time line when standard battlemechs become scarce.

And that's the ONLY reason why they won't add it.

CattleMaster (Hunter) - Heavily armored and armed version of CattleMaster, which is used for taking on powerful predators. The design is equipped with two military grade Small Lasers in right arm and three Machine Guns in both arms. The search light is moved to the left arm in this design. The half ton of Machine Gun ammunition is stored in the center torso. To handle the weaponry heat, the 'Mech has been equipped with single heat sink. The Hunter is protected by five tons of industrial armor.

The hero variant has a standard lrm 20

Somehow I think that variant was created by space rednecks. If a world has native predators that require 2 SL/3MG to down, find another world man, because it's not worth it.

Unless the earth-like planets are rare enough that it is worth it.

How great would it be to stab a raven right through the cockpit with that cattle prod!?

Look, if we're going to add silly mechs, let's at least get one that is...

"Well endowed."

It can't be added cause 3 tons of cargo space is too OP.

Imagine the devastating effect that a 6 cargo ton spider could do to the back of an Atlas!

Well, there have always been battlemechs and industrial mechs. That is one part of it. But you had the great artwork done Doug Chaffee http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Doug_Chaffee (he did 3025 and the 3058 TROs). The problem is that a new art group came along for 3050, 3055, and anything beyond 3058 and they went super nuts with it. That's why you have things that look like this: Posted Image

What animal actually needs a 9m tall, twenty-five-ton mech to herd it? Genetically engineered, twenty-ton super-bison?

Something about ICE that I thought should be in the rules but wasn't (that i remeber... didn't use ICE that much): fuel. Not necessarily for the boom factor (shooting a gas tank to explode a car is right there with Stackpoling a fusion engine) but more for the campaign factor. Put a hole in a gas tank and you're likely to run out of gas PDQ.

But you've got plenty of fuel from all of the 20 ton super bison poop. Anyway, the side effect of the ICE engine is that it keeps mutating the bison to the point where you'll soon need a 100 ton super bison herder to keep up. Btw, aren't you at least a little mortified by the fact that it has 3 tons of cargo space? Is that for the weak super bison that didn't make it? Its like a built in butcher shop or something.
