i am working on elite to the phracts and i can say I am dying faster than in my dragon. probably i am faster and more maneuvrable in the dragon but still..the extra armor on the phract doesnt count much. and yes it was a time when i stopped playing a cataphratch because of that bug...was frustrating.

I've had games where my legs are Yellow, and i havnt even moved yet.

I touch another mech, and my arms go yellow.

I walk the wrong way over a small rock (which i should crush) and my legs go yellow.

I wouldnt worry about it, you'd be surprised where/how damage is being applied if you do some testing.
The devs must be aware of this, but the only fix is a "better"collision system.

i just made a post about this a few days ago ( http://mwomercs.com/...taphract-armor/ )

i feel something is going on my armor gets stripped a lot faster now. since last patch. i went back to playing my hunchback doing some in game testing .and feel im taking alot more direct hits without the same level of damage. and i must say enemy dragons are much harder to kill then phracts. if i see a enemy phract i go after him because i know a few CT shot hes done.

Thanks--I read it. I did try and find that thread to report in it, but search seems to be broken. Good to know it's not just me that's getting weird results. Like I said, i can't pinpoint when it changed, but there was a point where the Cataphracts went from "lasts as long as you'd expect a heavy to" to "Wait, that was one volley, where did my armour go?"

Been trying it out. The 1X seems to be the most prone to this--last match, I got shot with three medium lasers and nothing else, that didn't just hit one location, but still took my arm (44 armour) to dark orange.

The other day I was in a brawl with 1 mech. No one else was around. My front CT had lost armor so I turned and rotated all the way around so that my back was facing the opponent while I repositioned behind a building. My back was to him completely, there was no way my front CT could have been hit. He fired into my rear CT. I got red damage indicators that I got hit from directly behind. I was looking at my paper doll and got zero hits to my rear CT. Front CT flashed and ended up bright red. He fired again hitting directly in rear CT. My rear CT took no damage, and I died due to front CT going.

It has been happening quite often that my front will get hit and my rear will take damage or vice versa. I really think something is going on with the 'phract.

As far as Phracts are concerned, I haven't felt more squishy than usual in them. With state rewind on the lasers, people are probably just aiming better. Either that, or your ELO went up and you're facing more competent opponents.

I've played a lot of 'Phract and, while not continuous, I've noticed periods of time when my armor would seemingly melt like butter. I'm rather familiar with how much/little damage it can take but, on occasion, I've taken hits that just made no sense, since I knew what was hitting me and that it actually didn't do enough damage to strip my entire front armor on 2 locations and leave 1 yellow and 1 OJ internal.... but it did.

I dunno if it's the armor bugging out or something else, but I've certainly noticed it happening a few times since the 'Phract came out, and I'm referring to the armor not absorbing as much damage as it should, not focus fire on a particular location.
