So here i have a Long range- medium range cataphract 1x. Take a look and give me your thoughts. BTW it's never been tested in game, at least not by me. CTF-1X

Its going to be too hot to run 4LL effectively. Drop it to 3 and add some heatsinks and it will be workable, although still pretty hot if i had to guess, or you could keep the 4LL and drop the gauss.

My opinion of course, just from my experience with 4LL builds.

Also, never a reason to use an XL250. XL255 weighs the same.

Your front to rear armor ratio is completley outta' whack too, although im just guessing that you flipped them by accident.

Yeah I flipped the armor by accident. Also, I wasn't sure how the numbers in smurphy's related to the heat of the mech data in mwo mechlab. Anyway here is a revamped version. Any thoughts? CTF-1X

Yes that could work for sure.

For pure min max, id still run 3LL and gauss, but the one you have there will be effective and fun to play.

U also might find XL engines are not so good on CTF  ur torso are so huge and is easy to die if u use them but its not impossible. U can try my build its have STD300 and 36alpha strike and its enought to one headshoot to kill up to 450m :) and even if u loose half mech u still have second half ^^

The build looks legit, but i want to save up for one of the new highlanders coming our way. I've changed my mind.

this AC2 imao is just waste of space in here and weight... and u need 300xl instead of std300. Build with less heat efficiency for so minimal DPS boost its not worth for me 4xLL is just enought to kill anything and this AC2 wont change it much

as long as you don't alpha..and chain fire those LL with Gauss rifle blasting away at the same time..this is quite interesting. of course you could alpha for the kill, too just saying it's an interesting build.

I don't like gauss rifles with XL engines though...

I've been running something close to this:

Except I took an XL320 engine out of a Cicada because I don't have a 325XL yet
