How come this still has not been addressed, it must be one of the fundamental aspects of the game.

Only start match when the teams have reached there set cap 8 v 8 and not before.

I have no issue sitting in the lobby for an extra few minutes, what I despise is the match starting 6 v 8 for instance.

You then end up most of the time with a free win for the other team, I say some times as on those rare occasions you have dropped with some real decent pilots and the other have came in cocky and get owned, but this is as said rare.

So please for all that is good in this game fix this as soon as possible. As larger fights of 16v16 could never be looked at until this is fixed as rolling out 9 v 16 would just be asking for quit match to be clicked.

Hmm, never had one like that. Even when it seem to have started as 6v8, it actually ended up being 8v8 as normal.
