You're a Marik. Their logo is a bird.

The Marik logo is an eagle. It's not some off-the-charts weirdness that should never have been published.

Any comparison with the Tetatae is an insult to House Marik and the Free Worlds League.

All this babbling about giant birds sounds ridiculous. I get the feeling that the Capellians got into the coolant again. Probably stumbled across a Raven, and convinced themselves it was alive. *nod nod*

P.S.

Goons or what else yelling crowd, PGI doesn't give a f... for petitions and suggestions on this sub-forum, that's a word of sad truth for you.
Moreover, 176*10$(it ought cost ten bucks, right?) = 1760$*(1 - Canadian-not-low-tax%*0,01), bleh, it's not worth it.

P.S. BTW, only 176 pro-goons votes in this poll, is it chicken flu epidemic or only 176 goons can read and use checkboxes?!

It's impossible to make a bobblehead of a thing that doesn't exist. Impossible!

(Also, they're canon, deal with it.)

I stand ready to purchase one of these for each and every one of my 'mechs. I will buy and then spend the necessary MC to supply these to me in quantity.

I actually think one of these things would be awesome to have in the cockpit.
Just like the "dapper urbie" some of us already have.

I'd like to see the bobblehead with a sign on the initial startup sequence go from ROOST >>> SQUAWK

This is not a checkbox poll, it is a radial button poll.

Do not undermine the sacred goon tradition of voting checkbox. It is not a wise path.

Also, yes, please, birds in mechs. Make it happen PGI.

Oh, I would never dare concern sacred traditions, it was all about reading skill.

Edit: on a second thought, was it a sacred reading skill?

I know they're canon. I've read Far Country The Book That Should Never Have Been Published.

Serious question:

Why'd you Goons latch onto the Tetatae anyway? Was it a joke at first that just got out of hand (I hope this is how it started), or did someone seriously think "Man that Far Country TBTSNHBP was so awesome! It would be so cool to have the Tetatae in MechWarrior!"?

Mr. Durant Carlyle:

Why are you so upset about the Noble Tetatae Birdwarriors existing in your canon? Does it make you any less of a mechwarrior? Do the Squawks and flapping wings of the graceful birdpeople keep you up at night? Are you this emotionally invested in what amounts to terrible 80's science fiction?

Just look at your post. You even refuse to acknowledge "Far Country", like it's some sort of Voldemortian Horror. Perhaps it is time to re-evaluate the priorities in your life, my friend.

As always, "Quit gettin' mad at video games." (Or in this case Science Fiction.)

I have always looked upon House Marik as a natural ally of the noble Liao Tetatae. The ability of your house to squabble and pick at each other is an inspiration to any flock of bird warriors picking over scraps, or knocking over a bread convoy. Personally, I think that if you overlook your preconceptions, you will find that you have much in common with your feathered friends and sisters.

(By the way PGI please make a Tetatae bobble head)

My post was neither hostile nor angry. I'm not in any way upset. On the contrary, I find it funny that y'all have chosen the Tetatae to represent you in your endeavors in this game.

It was a serious question, and I'll ask it again...

You know, this sounds like an excellent idea. The only thing better would be a squawking bird in the cockpit to replace the bitchin' betty and yell over her whenever important information needs to be relayed to the pilot.

You have my support.

I find it odd that you'd choose vengeful Old Testament figures in as your representative totem. Can you remind us how that is a good fit? Are you a man of the cloth, or a mechwarrior?

One or more of the following may be the true motivation(s):
1. We unironically love Far Country
2. We ironically love Far Country
3. We love birds
4. It's monkey cheese random lol
5. It's the dumbest thing we could come up with
6. To confuse you
7. I'm drunk and lonely.

Mr. Carlyle:

We here at the Word of Lowtax have allied with the Noble Birdwarriors of Tetatae because of the following Tetatian Phrase:

"Squawk, squawk, caw caw, squawwwwwwwwk."

While it's best expressed in its native Tetatian, and does lose something in the translation, also me to attempt to translate an idiomatic phrase:

Huh. My translation software must be on the fritz, let me try that again:

Well, that can't be right, man alive is this embarrassing. One last time:

Welp. That will have to do.

We here at the word of Lowtax hope that this was illuminating to you, and that if you have any further questions, feel free to inquire further at your earliest convenience.

The truth is, we fully believe in the teachings of Sun Tzu. Of the Capellan Confederation. That is- "strike where your enemy is not, remain close yet still untouchable, be as a monkey in a piñata, trying to hide from the kids with sticks."

The noble birdwarriors are the ultimate example of this philosophy. Doubly so that it appears the Freeborn deny their existence, which only gives us the edge. After all, how does one defeat or even defend against a foe that they do not believe exists?

They are also of the opinion that PsyOps are LosTech, which is simply foolish. The exceptions are House Liao, and the followers of the glorious champion Kerensky. I would advise learning of such warfare, such that our future engagements with your warriors may be a conflict of equals and thus an honorable duel.
