I know MG's can't critically-hit an engine. But I've also heard they CAN crit any heatsinks installed directly on the engine. So if you install a large engine with a provision for two extra heat sinks, those two heat sinks can be critted. Is that correct?

It would stand to reason, but I don't think anyone has actually tested it. I do believe every other heatsink can be destroyed as many have been before. I seen a 4 MG spider completely disarm an Atlas I was working on by destroying every single weapon it had. This is without a single limb being destroyed on the Atlas. It took him a total of 9 seconds, in which he'd stop, fire. Move on, stop, fire. Since no one paid any attention to him he was able to do it with ease.
But for myself... here's what I say. Who cares if it crits or not? It's FUN!
RAWR!
Actually once engine crits can be done, MGs will become the most overpowered weapon in the game. I'm serious, just wait and see -- assuming they stick to the 3 health point engine.

The engine can be critted and destroyed via crits. The catch is it only destroys the extra heat sinks placed in. The built in 10 heatsinks remain and the mech keeps running. Still not worth taking MGs for.
