This is what I see on the side of my screen on Facebook:

MechWarrior Online – AAA Free-to-Play on PC. Open Beta Begins! Play for Free Now!

Ok, so this is supposed to be a triple-A title. We're missing most of the social aspects and the core gameplay aspect that makes it AAA. If we want to make this a AAA title, stop focusing so much effort on minor gameplay **** and ******* COCKPIT ITEMS, and give us the meat of this game - 12v12, more maps (not variants), more mechs, and CW.

Second, "open beta begins"? Really? We've been in "open beta" for close to a year now. Are we really that desperate to hide the fact that this game is 6-12 months behind schedule?

EDIT: as pointed out, need some basics like in-game voice and module trees that actually give noticeable benefits too

You forgot to mention the modules, those were supposed to be the endgame content when you are wiping your *** with C-Bills and GXP. I'm not talking about trashy consumables, remember all their plans about module trees and tons of vision modes etc? None of it got in-game.

Not to mention the game parts with bad design and buggy implementation like the HUD or those which are missing entirely like the collisions.

Don't most AAA, team based, PvP titles these days have voice comms built into the game client?

I would like modules that actually did things too (advanced zoom RIP), but I'd rather have the priority content first, so we can get all our mechs and THEN reach endgame. I guess if we want to reach endgame with a few mechs now it would be nice, but endgame in what's supposed to be beta shouldn't be first priority.

Funny things is that most of the modules planned back then require far less effort to make than a single mech.
Well at least that is how i remember from the time when i've learned programming and 3D graphics.
This is why i find the lacking pilot skill tree far more annoying than the "slow" mech production.

I believe the PGI defense squad's reply to my query on this ad before was "the game is whatever the devs say it is"
