Excited for it - almost on hunger strike for it.

I play at approx 50 ping and have been a huge fan of ballistics through my many matches.

Been seeing a lot (A lot is like - 2, when you're trying to hit one of those with an AC20) of graphically registered hits on lights lately - AC20's to spiders and commandos that are registering nada for damage.

On the same boat. Going to celebrate this change by using my Ilya and 4G.

I'm tentatively hopeful; if it doesn't reduce or eliminate the firing delay for high-ping players, I'll probably just stick with Lasers - of course, even then, ballistics would benefit greatly from reliable hit registration against fast targets.

It would help hitting those pesky 3l's legs with my ac/20s B) I never know where to aim(lead), but now.... yes.... yes now I can see things clearly now, the rain has gone. ♬♩♩♫ I can see all obstacles in my way ♪♬♫♬

Cant wait myself 107 ping normally. Spiders will probably still be immune tho as their hitboxes are broken

Cataphracts and Jagers will be even more popular than they are now, if PGI are smart they could offer an MC discount on them starting when the fix gets applied.

I'm really looking forward to trying some ballistic focused mechs without feeling that I'm fighting at a disadvantage.

Even if it only normalizes the delay, rather than the semi-random delay we have now, it would be a big improvement.

I wonder if this will improve hit detection for PPCs too? Because right now it's pretty unreliable.

Hopefully improve hit detection on any non-missile/laser based weapon. I know I've registered hits with my PPC only to see no damage on the enemy mech because of it.

If you are worried about it with a 50 ping try playing with 300+. Ballistics just got viable for everyone. Expect your day to be ruined by hi ping players jumping on the band wagon.

I'm forced to wonder how many of the people complaining about hit detection on PPCs are trying to fire them from outside (or very close to) max range. I see a lot of people sniping from ranges at which they can do no damage or, if they can, it's very, very little. Especially on Alpine and Tourmaline. I admit, I do it sometimes, as well. But when I do it, I'm well aware I'm doing no damage, but I know many of them don't and it keeps their heads down with no cost to me.

I'm not suggesting that's all it is, but I bet it contributes to the numbers of complaints. Hell, people still think PPCs do splash damage, proving that many have no idea how he weapons work in this game.

I use dual PPCs and have them on the same firing group. Often I get hits on both legs or 2-3 torsos parts show damage. It really does behave like splash damage even though it's not supposed to.
