Just wondering if there are any members here who used to frequent that forum. I remember that place used to be hopping at the turn of the century. There was a lot of optimism over there for another game and a great fanbase. Forum traffic was heavy too. If you have never been there stop over and check it out. Not much now but it used to be the place.

Now it's all tumbleweeds and a few old timers. Sad to see really. It seems like it couldn't survive the long drought between games. Hopefully MWO will get it kicking again....

Just putting out an APB to see if it still lives in another form.

I'm an ex-DSC poster, my handle was Revenant.

I was an enormous Mechcommander fan, back in the day. I was one of the people who begged Mitch Gitelman that they include the Wolfhound and the Urbie in Mechcommander 2.

As in "THE ERRATIC CHEESE"? lol I have wondered the same thing. However the Cheese guy here seems waaayyy too sane to be the same character.

There is a lot of Urbie love here, so how many of you were in The PUB?

No way I am taking responsibility for that! And I was never a member of The Pub, but I remember it. While I hate to recreate everything from DSC here, the noise of the crickets over there is so loud that idk if we can ever rejuvinate the former community. Crowfoot still keeps a vigilant watch, and for that I salute him

I think it's pretty cool how most of us who were into any of Mechwarrior's or Battletech incarnations always tend to gravitate into a rather unique unified community.

I really miss the old days of "The Zone" and DSC and Starlance, but what's really cool is a lot of the people from those days are coming here for MWO, or still around doing their thing in other forums. It would seem that we have another opportunity to have all kinds of new fun and laughs in this new community.

P.S. I guess you guys are right about Cheese, some things need to stay in there respecitve places I guess lol.
