feel free to add your responses. Mine are
...if the client didn't crash every 4th game and leave me standing there like a free kill to the next light that came along
...if I didn't bounce out of the game client when I hit zoom or fire and thus miss my target and run in straight line for precious seconds while be murdered by people wondering why I was dumbly running in a straight line
...if I didn't do 90% of the damage to an enemy mech only to have some late comer to the fight get the final blow.

The first two are valid.
The third is not. You get a kill assist pay and/or savior on your target in those instances, and you are going to make more in damage bonus pay than the other guy. That being said, there is no I in team but there is an I in win. If you want to be in the win, don't sweat who gets the kill.

Mine would probably all deal with the getting my cockpit destroyed in some fashion such as....
... getting cockpitted just peaking around a corner despite never having been seen by the opposing team.
... getting cockpitted outside of the max range by an AC20 mech sniping at me (that's happened 4 times to me).
... getting cockpitted through my back by someone firing med lasers on my catapult (that's happened 3 times so far but I can chalk that up to the stupid server instability).
That's not the only instance, as the wall of AC spam I was facing all of Friday sort of felt like that situation to. I don't claim to be the best mech pilot, far from it, but something is fishy. And for those that will say I just don't move and take multiple hits to the noggin, actually this happens so fast that I have no time to react to being hit.

Disconnecting is the big one, as well as any bug that makes you lose control of your mech. Getting stuck in terrain can be frustrating too.

The third is the MOST valid. He's not complaining that it happens, he's just saying that it invalidates the K/D stat. Which it does. Anyone who uses weapons with high damage per round will get more kills in team beatdowns.

But there is no recorded stat for assists. No recognition for it. Just cbills.

k/d has never meant anything to me except in a game of 1v1 or one-hit kills.
w/l has only meant anythin got me judging a team, not an individual.

I'D TAKE THE W/L AND K/D RATIO A LOT MORE SERIOUSLY IF.....
I had a lobotomy which left me so simple minded that I was easily impressed by someone waving their e-peen around.

Uhhh.. except for over time it cancels out...
For every last hit someone steals from him, he gets one somewhere else. That kind of stuff always cancels out over the long run. People can complain about statistics all they want, but statistics is a large and valid field for a reason. If you think you are a great player, but your stats say otherwise, chances are you are wrong, and should read up on both statistics and the Dunning-Kruger affect(http://en.wikipedia....93Kruger_effect)
