I last played MW about 10 years ago and then last week I played #4 at an arcade. It was an yellow orb you get into and have hostas joy sticks to control your mech and it has hydraulics underneath to make it more realistic, I'm sure you all have seen what I'm talking about. Then I found this site... WOW!!! Any way might be a dumb question, but I was wondering if this setup would work?

Turning is working properly. By that I mean, a slight movement to the left or right causes a slight turn of the Mech. The more you move the stick to the left or right the faster the turn.

Throttle is working properly.

Twist and pitch are not working properly. There is very little difference if any, in either a slight movement or a full L/R twist or push/pull of the stick it simply will cause extreme movement of the reticule.

I believe that PGI is not finished working on joystick controls and I am patiently waiting.

Yesterday, was the first day that I could use the stick for running around. But, when the time come to start aiming at targets I had to go back to keyboard and mouse. (Yes, you can use both KB/mouse and Joystick at the same time)

Well heavens, when I wrote the reply the stick was acting just as described above. Today, I tried again and it appears to be working. Yeah! Now, I need to practice.

Don't forget you can still use both KB and mouse at the same time as using the HOTAS.

Welcome to the dark side. Good luck. While I am not all that good, I can tell you that a joystick user (TurboCorvair, I think) placed 24th in the first PGI tournament at one stage. Which shows it CAN be done.

If you do not mind me asking how did you get MWO to recognize this joystick? I just got one and it works fine in other games, but I cannot get MWO to see it.

Thanks!

Oh dear. MWO is very likely incompatible with your JS. Submit a ticket to PGI at support@mwomercs.com.
Just for giggles plug it into a completely different USB port and see if that helps

I have that joystick ......bahh, I don't know.
Some keys (like center legs to torso or minimap) are not mappable, the movements of the torso are slow. The speed works fine.
Aiming is a pretty difficult thing for me.
I've tryed all day yesterday but, for now I will use the mouse.
I dont want work with config file because I dont know what I have to do but, some people have done and they play well.

I will wait for a new patch.......

I dont know if add a slider for the control of sensitive is a difficult thing but, if I have a request for this game, is this. Only a simple slider....

And ALL mappable keys (included minimap and center to legs)
