I'll be running with a band of rummed up pirates, but as for salvage I would love to get hold of my three favorite chassis First being a Timberwolf second a Nova Cat and last but not least a Super Nova. The super nova being mainly a Trophie ;)

ERPPC? I tend to favor the reliability of the Large Pulse Laser, at least in TT. Not much lower range, same heat:damage ratio, same tonnage, and a serious to-hit advantage over the ERPPC. Sure, it won't instagib a mech if you roll a 12 on hit location, but you're likely to end up doing more damage overall unless everyone is an Elite pilot.

This is clearly the ignorant response that we expect from an Inner Sphere barbarian. You shall one day come to understand the superiority of honor.

1: The ability to pick your animalkin faction,
2: The ability to look down on other players,
3: The ability to blame defeat on 'dezgra' tactics,
4: Access to crutch technology,
5: Ability to claim that you hate waste while destroying omnimechs in minor disputes and demanding custom configurations for all of your machines,
6: Access to a faction that mirrors your real-world beliefs in genetic superiority,
7: Ability to claim a faction based on 'honor', while ignoring the Draconis Combine due to low technology,
8: Access to the ideal of saving the Inner Sphere by destroying it,
9: Ability to perform genocide against any foe, Clan or IS, that disagrees with you,
10: Ability to delude yourself into thinking that Kerensky was not a coward.

you forget to mention the lrms with no minimum range that can be used up close, or their omni capaility that none of the 3050 mechs have yet

Interesting that everyone is focusing on the tech and not things like winning lines in The Remembrance, bringing glory to your Clan/sibko, or contributing their genetic material to the gene pool. ;)

The majority of Clan players that I have met care not for such things.

Okay, we need to counter-invade the Clans just to help them name their 'Mechs. Hellbringer is a fine name, but Ebon Jaguar compared to something as fearsome-sounding as Cauldron-Born?

A Clansman doesn't waste thought on such thing's he already knows He will contribute, To do otherwise would be to admit self doubt an possible inferior genes.

I was speaking from a TT point of view. If you're implying that most MW4 Clan players care more for honor than the tech, uh... Yeah, going to have to heartily disagree with that.

1. The ability to claim honor, while considering anyone not a trueborn warrior to be untermensch.
2. The ability to act offended by the IS concept of hereditary nobility, while only allowing trueborn warriors to rule.
3. Having Lower Castes slaves who see to the needs of the Clan as determined by the Warriors.
4. The right to try and kill anyone whom you don't like in a Trial of Grievance.
5. Promotions through killing your superior officer.
6. Living in Boot Camp from the moment you're born until you pass your Trial of Position.
7. The obligation to only have casual sex and never find someone to create a family and share your life with.
8. The freedom of being rewarded for not being a team player.
9. The knowledge that wars are fought between individuals with no outside interference from other people or things like artillery and air support.
10. The security of knowing that logistics is a dirty word that you never have to learn or worry about.

Funny, most Clansmen you read about worry more about this than how superior their weaponry is to that of the Inner Sphere. In fact, most Clansmen don't even give their tech much thought at all, they believe they win because of their superior breeding. ;)

Clan ,,,, IS. to a merc its all salvage, All though I have to admit I will take clan tech all day, As far as the Pilots? To a Death Dealer they are all the same, easy pickens,, but Clan pilots dont tend to scream like little girls while they die, like some IS pilots I have killed

If your afraid to give everything you have, you are already beaten.

My early days of mechwarrior were as a Clansman and the clans are what pulled me into the game aside from the mechs the clan lore was a pretty fascinating story. Even now I'm a bit clan at heart even tho I play a filthy freebirth pirate ;)
