in my 90kph cent with 3 srm6 packs and 2 ml's back before people even knew it was a good build. Circle around and end up finding a ppc stalker sitting there just hammering my team from across the water. Had no idea I am there but I have to come in from his right side so easily seen. Run up and nope no one spots me. The stalker started to back up a bit just as I end up behind him. Ends up me sandwiched between him and a building. Must have a been a interesting site, stalker trying to sit on cent. He was still in perfect condition so lined up CTR and let him have it. Cored him out from the back and he just falls dead. I run off and the guy never saw me at all and is in chat saying he died to srm and ml's but had his back to a building , no one was there. Doing a lot of WTF and how can someone shoot through buildings. it made me smile a lot knowing my ninja cent was that good :P

Letting my four-year-old daughter sit on my lap and fire slas salvos at a base-defending atlas. I ran circles around it in my jenner while my daughter shot two slas again and again, spastically hitting every part of it over and over. It took forever before he died, but we ended the match with 983 points and the atlas ended with a serious need for emotional therapy.

so i just had a match on Alpine Conquest in my Com 3M

me and another light did our best to cap everything but sadly rest of our team was taken out, we take out their only light and split up to TRY and cap what we can in hopes that we can win on points. so i head to epi (from theta) teammate goes to recap sigma.

by time i reach e5 area i can already tell its a lost cause and i spot on one of the hills looking towards sigma an LRM boat Atlas (launching missles at my teammate while he spares with someone who went to intercept him
and an Awesome with 4 ppc. his front CT was alittle softened up and he wasnt firing or anything so i figured hey why not.

instead of going to epi i veered off and got in his face and opened up on him
(my 3M has 2 small lasters an, SRM6 and SRM4 so i can have almost max armor) i get off 2 salvos before he starts reacting which is when the best part happens
he blasts his teammate who is standing alittle ways in front of him in the back..... this happens TRHEE TIMES.

i ended up killing him just before enemy team hit 750 but the fact he blasted his own team mate not once but 3 times was just cake.

so anyways, anyone have any stories of those in game moments that made you smile?

As the aforementioned awesome that was hilarious. I had to actually shoot that atlas just so he would notice your little commando *** running around shooting me in the back. That atlas dropped a few ac20 rounds into me, when i imagine he was aiming for your parked head.

lol in the end i say he deserved the blasts to the back for his tunnel vision, i didnt realize he blasted you though, frankly if he was tunnel visioned that badly he proably didnt even realize i wasnt on your team....

as for the parking i didnt have time to miss so took the risk.

Having 3L pilots stand still either looking at me or lookin afar and taking my two Gauss slugs either in the cockpit (omg that was a wonderful moment...like a puppet cut off its strings!) or on a leg (which makes 'em sweat a little before the inevitable is addressed :D gotta love 'em TRY to dodge while limping away too). OR, when a Catapult rolls up...and stops... "Stare down my barrels baby, and wait for the flash" :P

Last night I had an Assault drop on Tourmaline in my 5D that netted me 3 kills, 3 assists, a pissed-off enemy Atlas that called me a juvenile cat (to which I made disparaging remarks about his weight) when I went to cap (on my team-mates request) instead of fighting four times my weight when we were the only ones left in the match.

That's nice in itself, but what really made my day was the comments from my team-mates:
"I really enjoyed watching you pilot that Spider"
"Good job, stjobe"
"You can take him!"
"Well played"

A far cry from the usual abuse one gets from random team-"mates".

So thank you, team. I literally couldn't have done it without you.

Last man standing on Tourmaline (Me in my brawler-Pract and a Jenner..)

We are both beat up pretty good but he clearly has speed and maneuverability one me... We cat/mouse for what felt like forever until I managed to get a solid couple hits on the Jenner's legs... The Jenner took of running and I was right behind, now with my Mlas in chain and I was quickly picking my way to core... The Jenner rounded a corner and JJ'd of a cliff assuming they would escape my attack... I slammed on the brakes, stopping right on the edge, took careful aim and alpha'd the Jenner out of the sky and watched it plummet to the ground below.

Taking into consideration the damage I had to my legs, if I had not stopped I would have surely died if I over-ran the cliff...

It kind'a played out like a action-movie car chase... minus me getting the hot chick in the end. :P

I played a series of 4 matches in my Trebuchet 3C and there was this one guy driving an LRM Raven 4X. Every game he would find a prominent ledge to stand still and fire his LRMs from and every game I snuck up behind him, carefully aimed, and one-shot him in the rear. One would think he'd change his tactics but nope, crumpled Raven every time.

I miss one-shotting 3Ls on the move in my splat cat though. There was something incredibly satisfying watching someone who thinks you can't hurt them and then showing them exactly how wrong they were.

Hmmm. I have two. The first is way back in closed beta, my dad was letting me play on his account because I couldn't afford the founders package :( I built my first raven build back then, and was in a dogfight with this jenner in river city, lower section. We are circling buildings picking each other apart slowly, but we are having a hard time hitting each other, when I break off and circle around a different building. We end up meeting again as he rounds the corner, and I unload my erPPC into his face. First kill in MWO was a headshot :P since then, the raven has been my favorite mech available so far.

Second favorite is in open beta, my dad and I dropped into a match in our ravens with some friends in a 4man group. It ended up being 5v8, enemies favor. It turned into a slugfest, where my dad and I got the most kills on our team, and were the only mechs left standing by the end :D Scorched armor, missing limbs, we showed that tactics trumps numbers any day.

Killing any mech that's in the air and watching it fall to the ground.
Watching mechs killed on a mountain side in Alpine slide alllllll the way to the bottom.

Edit: so falling mechs apparently
