NARC has some problems (it is currently considered useless and having tried it i have difficulty disagreeing). While NARC works fine with LRM missiles (allowing a continued lock behind cover, increasing the turn radius by about 70 degrees), it was promised an effect with SRMs; this effect is bugged. The SRM missiles when fired at a narced target sometimes converge on the target but usually do not. As far as i can determine this is not based on the range to a target and the convergence of missiles happens about 10% of the time. I have tried this at both point blank and extreme ranges in addition to everywhere in between.

How/When will NARC be made worth the 4lbs and one missile slot? Are these issues new?

Nark is also difficult to use due to is dumfire nature, and late reticle convergence; when applies to a CAT-1A, the NARC missiles fail to reach the reticle's outsaide margines before detonation. Even on impact they suffer from the "Speed Bug" (considering how slow they are this is unusual) which results in a late and irregualr hit detection occasionally usually on the opposite side of a targeted mech.

Possible solutions? Increase strength of NARC beacon and reduce penetration of rounds to prevent overpenetration before rounds explode.

I don't think I have mounted a single NARC, let alone fired one, since I started playing this game. Does anyone actually CHOOSE to mount a NARC? I'm sure some folks have played with it when it came stock on a mech and they didn't have the cbills to mod it yet, but other than that does anyone use it? It just seems so weak and heavy that I've never even bothered to try it.

BAP @ 1.5tons increases sensor range by 25%.

Tag @ 4tons finally allowing lock-on beyond LOS... seems lacking.

Well, NARC is going to "spot" for you AFAIK in an upcoming patch.
