Is this still gonna happen?

Because really.. Razer has a huge market potential for this. Not MWO (sorry!) but if they just sell the joystick ALONE it would be a big hit. (Lets be realistic here.. they would not sell many if they overpriced this thing just for the silly screen and fancy numpad... the stick is what makes this thing rock).

Especially if they make it force feedback, optical tracking and USB.

'cause damn its a SEXY thang!

Both are made out of metal, including the buttons and with mods, they are unrivaled for less than a grand. Who wants to play with flimsy plastic when you can have cold, hard metal?

The display would be cool, though.

Less than a grand?!? I will use my plastic CH product sticks all day long and twice on sunday over spending close to that. But if you have the cash why not I guess.

Also anyone who has been to auto shows knows a fantasy when they see one.

regarding the artemis of course.

Well, the nine hundred bucks I dropped on a Cougar plus custom machined and CNC gimbals plus hall sensors and a pair of CH Pro pedals I modified (rewired, added connectors and switches) was the best I've ever spent on peripherals. The CH sticks aren't bad, though. Well, if you can deal with the little "detent" feeling in the middle of travel. It makes formation flying pretty difficult.

I'm also not made of money, either. I had a business windfall and decided to blow it on myself for a change.

Not faulting anyone for spending it my friend. Just made a comment on the plastic remark, my CH stick is plastic but it is rugged plastic. If I had the cash at the time I would have gone warthog I am sure, just CH was best bang for my buck at the time. Now I would have to buy an NES controller.

It would cost ~$500. Would you buy one?

Thats what happened to it.

Until proportional torso controls for Joystick are active I cannot tolerate it. I am glad throttle and turning work now, but using the JS like a mouse for the torso doesn't do it for me.

I have the full CH products set once it is ready to go.

Me as well and some TrackIR too. I have been trying to figure out a way to get my track IR mapped to my arm weapons so I can just look at my target to shoot it. Problem is I think my kneck would get carpal tunnel by the end of one match.

Not just any plastic--but ABS plastic. It is the same stuff my Steyr AUG is made of!

LOL. Nah, just trying to show that those CH sticks are TOUGH! The AUG can be run over by a truck and keep on shooting without any problems. That's some strong plastic!

Yeah polymers have come a long way since the M16 A1. I like the bullpup design as well. Have you ever seen the KRIS? It shoots a 45 ACP but has the recoil rise of a small caliber handgun.

What happened is nothing. The same thing that has happened with C3 voice coms, dropship mutater, directx 11, and the 20th mech announcement. It is called dropping the ball.

It went where gaming peripherals that make you worse at the game you're playing go to die. Some sort of graveyard of mad catz controllers and roller ball mice.

Ok, lets get back on track. The Artemis. I thnk the trouble is the extra screen. Without the screen, it would a- be affordable, and b- work. MWO has no support for customizable HUD components, and to my knowledge, has never said they would. For the record, i would LOVE to have the option to move my radar/minimap to a second monitor. perhaps have my paperdoll and weapons array dat on another. But I also realize, that its pretty early in development for something like that, inless razer is gonna get FULLY onboard and throw investment dollars at PGI to implement the aforementioned options. If they just dropped the fancy-scmancy **** screen, I'd buy one right now.

Not like the H&K G3 knock-off I was issued with then; left it out in the cold one winter night and when a squad mate stepped on it the next morning the stock shattered in a million pieces. The LT wasn't pleased, and neither were the weapon techs :P

What is the top one?
I actually want to get the Warthog.
I like spending 2 weeks learning how to start a plane.
