Boy I sure do! Here, Atlas uses Clothesline punch!

26 seconds, the fist of doom. 32 seconds, staggering to my feet.

Also, since editing that short snippet from a long 18 minute video was kind of blah in terms of quality... the original scene can be found here. The link is preset to start you approximately 20 seconds before the punch so you can "get your bearings."
Enjoy!

Oh man, do I ever want melee, at least a kick or something. Thing is it would be tough to implement well and another thing to balance and I'm not so comfortable with PGIs balance skills at the moment.

I never knew there was melee, but only learned the other day. I would like to see it return, it would give weaponless 'mechs a reason to live, too.

Plus, lights would no longer charge through you with a risk of a clothesline.

They never had melee in MW:O in the first place. They had knockdowns in the game, but never melee. It's coming. It's Beta. Deal with it. :P

personally i dont know if this game needs Melee, i mean id be up for trying it out and possibly changing my opinion. But it seems like it would end up just being a barely useful gimick. Then again Gimmicks tend to help with immersion so might end up good.

and while im cool with knockdowns coming back i just hope they dont have them happen so easily that even a love tap knocks down lights to which i add im guessing the majority of players that are salivating over collision/knockdowns are people who loathe lights and rarely if ever use them lol.

thinking about it though i did love the Axeman from the old battletech cartoon and wouldnt mind being able to use one as it was shown in the cartoon.

There was a big thing before they took down knockdowns that they are going to overhaul them to base it on a combination of velocity + weight, plus where you collided (it'd be easier to knock something down if you collided with its head rather than its stomach). There is also the possibility that certain kinetic weapons (such as the AC-20) when fired rapidly could destabilize your balance. (For example a k2 with twin AC-20s might be able to knock down a light, but say an Atlas would take two bang-cats firing really close to each other to do the same thing).

Of course. I'm still counting on Awesomes being able to ram and knock down Atlases. My favorite thing to do.
