Like the Laser HSR when it first came out, it seems to favour the HPBs and still provide a lag shield for them when.

I'm generally a ping of under 100ms and it looked like I was connecting gauss and Ac/10 shots left right and centre on light mechs, but none of the damage was registered.

Hit after Hit after HIT after HIT

And no Registered damage.

Something is seriously wrong.

HSR was working fine for me no with the last patch. Cored cicada with AC/2 yesterday when he was circling my Jagermech.

On 250-350 ping, working well. Still a little rubber banding here and there, and hits appearing to not register; No different to normal (except the rubber banding), but without the firing delay. Overall, a vast improvement for me

HSR for ballistics is awesome and a huge improvement over the previous situation. Works excellently at mid to long range.

At short range versus fast targets it does not work for me though (playing from Australia). Last night I was being circle-strafed by a Spider in my AC5 Jager, and direct hits according to my client were not registering any damage. My dead teammate spectating informed me that my shots were passing behind the target. Once I compensated for this with more lead I was able to damage the target. It was just like the previous system -- hits missing according to my client, but I was getting a red targeting reticle and damage was showing on the target paperdoll.

So all in all, pretty damn close but not quite there. You'll never be able to make it perfect when some players are playing a quarter to a half second behind though. I definitely recognise and applaud the huge improvement that this patch has brought.

Ac/2 is not the measuring stick. You throw so much lead, something has to hit. Telomere with Ac/5 is more like it. Slow shots that count to connect will measure this ability.

Ballistic HSR is definitely not working as good as HSR for Lasers....

so many direct hits without dmg ;)

it sure feels better sometimes.... but mostly its just not
very strange

I am a very low ping player, approximately 30-50. This patch completely screwed up my gauss rifle. only 3 out of 10 shots that I clearly see hit the target, count as hits, even at point blank range 7 of 10 do no damage. The ppc is working great but for some reason the gauss just doesn't register even when there is a shower of sparks from the enemy mech.

Feels pretty good to me, thank you devs. Now need to get used to not leading my shots so much. Currently on a 20Mb/2Mb connection at ~70 ping.

My cataphract 4x thanks you. <hug> :)

Working fine for me. I got 6 kills in one match last night (first time!). Total of 12 matches: 12 kills, 3 deaths. In almost every match that I survived I ended up only a shot or 2 from death. So I''m both taking damage AND dishing it out now.
The only serious bugs I got were no radar/no battlegrid (3 out of 12 matches)
I did get several 'silent hits', meaning Betty told me about damage but there was no indication in cockpit of of being hit. No shake, no sound, no damage indicators flashing. I think HSR is calculating the damage correctly but not the indicators.

Overall, a good patch, for me.

More point blank shots with PPCs and AC20 that have an obvious hit effect are still registering no damage. In fact, I would say this is happening much more than before.

Keep at it.....

Without a doubt the best improvement in the game thus far. Finally it is possible to hit those ridiculous ECM Raven 3L's. Before the patch, the side with the most lights would almost always win, now we are seeing a lot more heavies and assaults on teams and lights are not as overpowered as before. Overall the game is lot more fun, except for the map/radar/hud bugs.

Well done, great patch.

HSR for balistics is great improvement, now you can actually hit something. Also im getting hit by ppc and ac's a lot in my jenners so its tough times for light pilots nowdays. Overall good work on HSR for balistics.

I still get some ballistics "hitting" the enemy mech but doing no damage. However it's a large improvement because that could happen with up to 50-75% of shots fired. Now it's easily 10% or less so that's definitely an improvement worth acknowledging.

Im not convinced, certainly the delay in fireing is gone for PPC's, but the hit registration still appears off, red crosshairs but no actual damage to the paperdoll.

This. I'm hitting targets some of them at point blank, getting a glow on their chassis, sparks fly and **no damage done**. The hit registration is still off, as well as various terrain physics box errors. IT's hugely frustrating to **know** full well I'm hitting someone, but not getting the reward, all the while being hammered by damage from the target.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on, all I know is I'm taking more damage, more of my shots are regging than before, but a lot are still not counting when they should.

I like it alot. Being from Europe, this has helped my ballistic aim considerably. I can now reliably hit small mechs and reliably choose components to hit on bigger mechs. Also, my lights suffer way more damage, it's now a very bad idea to run straight through an enemy team, as it should be. I can't wait for HSR for SRMs.

Now might be the time to reconsider speed of lights, if technically possible, but that's a different issue entirely.

My ping has always averaged 30-50. Before sate rewind my hitting was fairly accurate already. I noticed that when the rewind was put in for lasers, that things I was hitting were not taking damage sometimes even from direct straight on hits. Particularly faster mechs. While friends of mine from australia were singing praises for having better accuracy, it felt to me that the rewind made accuracy worse for me.

I havent noticed any difference with ballistics though. And PPCs seem less accurate also vs small faster mechs at farther ranges. They seem to be accurate, although not doing full damage on the faster mechs at closer ranges.

Also the mouse control in game seems to have changed. I noticed it when about a month ago I had to do a fresh install of the game because it wouldnt patch. After the fresh install, my reticle in game is jerky and very hard to aim at things farther away because of it. I had never changed any mouse settings in the cfg files before, and my hardware mouse settings hadnt changed, so something in the game itself related to mouse reticle control has changed. Its just more jerky now. Very hard to steady my aim. Has something changed?

After a week of being too tired or busy to play much I ran my Jenner exclusively last night.

I am happy to report that the Jenner (F at least) is still a viable mech!

There was some weirdness with an LBX10 seemingly shooting through buildings but other than that, good times!

To me ; BSR is just a lie , all it did was to remove the fire delay but the hit detection just seem ****** up.

Standing still target taking no damage , ennemy at 20 M of your mech (be it with ERPPC/AC/20/Gauss) taking no damage.

I've Uninstalled the game and Installed it again , nope , same problem.
