To Often I've been using mechs with LRMs and SRMs and been unable to build a mech they way I want due to the nature of how Artemis is an all or nothing feature in MWO.

In TT if you had LRMs with Artemis all had to have it. and if you had SRMs with Artemis all had to have it as well but you COULD run LRMs + Artemis + Standard SRMs. Or you could have standard LRMS with SRMS + Artemis. You didn't have to have artemis on both systems like MWO is doing.

Please think of breaking the mech upgrade for Artemis into SRM and LRM categories to reflect how it should be done, perhaps costing half as much as the current Artemis pricetag each, or hell make it cost the same, I don't really mind just please let me pick which type of launcher has it.

If that is the way TT was implementing Artemis, they are not doing so by the "table top" rules. All launchers capable of mounting Artemis must either equip it or none can.

No I had my suspicions and checked with my Master rules set circa 2001

"If any type of missile system (ie LRMs or SRMS) aboard a battlemech or vehicle is outfitted with Artemis, all Artemis-compatiable delivery systems of that class must be equipped the same way. If any LRM Launcher is equipped with Artemis, all LRM launchers on the unit must be equipped with Artemis. If any SRM launchers are equipped with Artemis, all SRM launchers must be equipped with Artemis"

It doesn't mention either way whether it's "all-or-nothing", just that if you have one SRM with it, all SRMs need to have it, and that if you have one LRM with it, all LRMs need to have it.
Nothing mentions inter-launcher requirements. It's ambiguous.

It clearly states that "...all Artemis-capable delivery systems of that class must be equipped the same way...".

Artemis-capable delivery systems are all systems that can utilize Artemis. Class is the weapon type (LRM, SRM, Medium Laser, PPC, ect.)

It seems extremely clear that if you equip LRMs, all LRMs must be equipped the same way, but that has no effect on SRMs.

This also introduces work needed to differentiate between systems. This would mean that PGI would have to implement different locking mechanics for LRMs and SSRMs as Artemis is currently effecting SSRMs without any of the drawbacks (tonnage and critical slots).
