No, really. Reinstall.
ESPECIALLY if you used things like film grain remover, SweetFX or any other tweak.
If you don't then yeah. The patch just might give you an extra special borking.
I found this out on the last patch. Reinstalled and it gave me hud issues about 1 game in 20 or 30. Curious to see if it's even more stable now.
This is why they don't like people messing with that stuff I suspect. We crate our own issues, then blame them for it.

Command Chair posts are nice to read. They're working on getting the HUD bug fixed, but it sadly wasn't resolved all the way with the newest patch.

The bug fixes were not complete in time to make it into this patch. This is a content patch, not a fix patch.
