Fellow Raven 3L pilots, lay down your streak srms!
With the rampant use of ER/PPCs I say lets get in on this action!
No more will you have to cross the no-man's land that separates you and the enemy!
Now, you can show those poptarts what for by giving them a taste of their own medicine!
Superior speed and handling allows you to dodge long ranged attacks with ease. Plus you can still use your ER ppc for point blank fun in close ranged combat.

Retaining max speed, ECM, and most of your armor, you too can join snipe warrior online!*

Its certainly not a bad build, but I would be more inclined to place the erppc in the torso and having both medium lasers in the same firegroup/component in order to improve tracking.

Yes, I was inclined to do that, but sometimes I ran into some situations where I wanted to blast people at a much different elevation. Personal preference really.

I had a 285, ERPPC RA and 2 SSRM2s still. That would've worked really well except for 300+ ping (Aust) making it impossible to use the PPC at that speed. Or in general.

I really wanted to try to fit some medlas or a TAG on it as well, but it's really pushing weight as is. You can drop a lot of arm armour on the Raven, bc hitboxes etc.

How much ammo were you able to keep?
Anyways, I wanted to get away from the streaks. Was running a commando 2D for a bit and the kdr is like 21. I felt the need to repent xD

When I grow old and die, and meet Heavenly Father with Lord Jesus chilling on his right, I will have to confess all my sins. Yes, I had used LRMs when they were OP. Yes I had spammed SSRMs, when they always hit CT. Yes, I had given many people bad experience and made them hurt. My only defense (aside from being Christian) for not being thrown immediately to Hell is that I have never ever piloted RVN-3L.

Amen.

For the first time in my life, I find myself recommending the RVN-4X over the 3L.

It's a tiny little poptart! Does everything your build does and then some, and the kicker is that it recycles the 3L's stock 210XL engine, so it's actually fairly cheap to build.

I just can't imagine changing my Raven 3L. Considering all those enemy mechs I killed using the medium lasers + SSRM2's, it just wouldn't feel the same. It will always have a spot in my mech bay as my most frequently played mech.

I've only changed it a few times such as removing the AMS and replacing it with ECM the day ECM was introduced or using TAG on it in the past when LRMs were actually useful to gain easy XP and C-bills.

I think it was 2 tons, but it might've been one. I've run the 3L with 1 ton on a few experiments... I just make sure not to fire the SSRMS if I know there are still lights running around. Works decently, but if you can fit 2 tons it's almost always worth it.

But yeah, I know what you're saying. Streaks are just so reliable... there is an inevitability with them. The other guy might laser/AC40 your leg off, but you both know there's a time limit.

I play a Hunchback when I start to feel bad. No-one has accused HBK of being hax since the Fast Slaserback days. I still wreck dudes with the 4P though. Yay for state-rewind. I still get good scores with my 2xALRM15, 3Medlas Missileback 4J. It's a lot of fun to play.... Even more so now that LRMs take a little more using to get value from.

I have this mech but I also have a spider with an ERPPC on it and JJs which is way more fun in that regard.

I actually tried that build to use my 4x more. I didn't like how all my firepower was concentrated in that one arm as well as the lack of ecm and speed. If other lights see me I was kinda screwed. But man, firing those two ppcs was very satisfying.

Yeah I have done the same, I once was able to kite the enemy team until the timer ran out. Made alot of people mad that day.
Mainly I use the 3L because its generally considered OP because of what it can mount.I just wanted to make it for a different role and show people that 2 ssrms, 3 ML's are not the only things you can stick in it.
