Not fully sold on the arm mounted weapon pods but the rest of the Timberwolf has blown me away. I would love to pilot one of those in MWO.
The one thing I don’t want to see in the MWO Timberwolf is the MW4 style arms. Sure it’s more modern and realistic but I love the MW2 and TRO arms far more. I think your update to the arms captures the classic look magnificently.

old arms are not as tactically sound, the newer version helps the whale of a nose be a little tougher to hit, and IMO is kinda welcome. but lower, you would find your self loosing your arm mounted weapons less, but needing to expose your self more to shoot over hills.

This is really good. And I agree with others, the nose is a nice spin while not changing a whole lot. Again, great job.

Don't give up! You've got a good thing going here!

Also looking forward to seeing your take on the Ryoken.

I like this design more than the original, personally. My biggest gripe was how nonsensical t was to stick the cockpit way out there for everyone and their mother to shoot. That, and I like the original, dropped down arms. It's a very nice spin on the design, actually!

I think what you have done with the cockpit is great! The whole mech retains the feel of the original much more than the MK IV, but helps update a lot of that B-52/out dated look that the Mad Cat has.

Very nice looking 'Mech. I never thought someone could make one of the best looking 'Mechs even better looking. But you did it! :)

Not sure if you guys had hoped for more in a side-profile. Something made up quick for roughly what i had in mind, mainly the lower slung arms closer to the original renders from the old school drawings, vs the higher up like in the games.

i like, but, frontal looks like the slopes gave it got a bit more side and top protection,

overall, good job!

hope those legs don't strike the arms! :)

That's a very strong take on an old classic!

Dare I say, the smoothed angles and smaller nose make it look more predatory, as befitting of the most iconic Omni. Also like how you included dummy missile ports. They don't show up in too many designs these days.

I like it better than the original. The torso changes make the design!

I'm with the crowd on this one, that narrower cockpit looks aggressive and all in all, that Mad Cat looks fine as all hell.

I love it. A true artist's touch. The cockpit looks more aggressive, and still retains some of that "walking deathtrap" appeal.

I LOVE your design Azure! I find it looks a lot more modern and less "chubby" than the original design. You can still tell it's a Mad Cat, but the cockpit looks much better!

Great work!

Hello fellow Mechwarrior fans. Making my first post and shout out in anticipation of this game. While back, when the first teaser "fragments" started flying about online, i started up my own little render of my personal favorite, the Timber Wolf/Mad Cat to get psyched up for more info and details...

Now though this is my first and favorite, i hope it not to be the last, already started up another pair of mechs each with their own twists on who i view/hope to see them this time next year....

Though any suggestions/requests, I would love to hear =)

I love this design of the Timber Wolf. It's a nice updated version compared to the old classic version. While i still like the old design, this has captured my imagination. Brilliant work. Hopefully this design will be used when the Clan Mechs are added to the game (if at all).

Fantastic looking Timberwolf. I like how it gives the impression of a towering beast of a mech instead of the wide body stance. This timberwolf looks powerfull

Pretty beast, my good sir. I am not convinced in a couple areas, including laser positions and the sinks next to the cockpit, but otherwise this is the best design of a Timberwolf I have seen.
