I do not at all like how the minimap is now zoomed out. It tricks me into thinking my team and enemies are closer than they actually are. I like the grid size as it now stands, but zoom the map back in please.

Yeah I don't like this either.
I would like a zoom option for the minimap display somewhat like how the old MW titles radar worked.
Press R to (or was it X) to increase the radar range.
In MWO it would just change the zoom of the Minimap. Have a 1x, 2x, 3x etc and have the 1x be what it is now.

Someone asked Russ Bullock and Garth this on a twitch stream with the NGNG guys once and they said its a good idea and one they have heard before. The minimap zoom is listed on the content tracker here. PGI does have a very, very long list of things they want to add into the game.
When you are brawling its good to have the map zoomed in, when you are sniping or just would like to have at a glance a larger swath of the battle field its good zoomed out. An option to adjust this with a key bind in game would be fantastic!
