This isn't an "i'm leaving" thread, this is a "I'm tired... and tired of your crap" thread.

Oh, that makes sense.

Oh... my beloved fellow forum warriors... I'm so tired... I'm so tired of immaturely behaving adults on the internet... I'm so tired of people spamming useless and idiotic threads... I'm so tired of the endless streams of QQ everywhere I look... I'm so tired of forum trolls...

To sum it all up... I'm so tired of people like you and threads like yours... do me a favor and act maturely, constructively, or leave the damn forums for good.

Lol good stuff.

Well unfortunately in all your rambling about MW you haven't really mentioned that you are a gamer. Just talked about BT/MW, which, lets be honest, is a speck in the overall picture of what gaming is. And your post cried about playing a BT game on the computer. If you were a gamer you'd know what a beta is and that we're testing it at the moment.

A good general rule of thumb to have, if you are an impatient person, is to not play betas, just launch/retail/live.

Yeah you're right EA could buy this game and completely destroy the dev house and ruin the game like say, Origin ala UO or any other online game they've taken a bite out of.

Allow me to ask you a couple of questions then.

1)How invested in Battletech/Mechwarrior are you? Are you just an old fan? or do you have Family ties to the property that keep you coming back for more?

2) How long have you been following this game's development Did you follow any of the other games? Did you follow MW5's development before it was canned, how about Mechwarrior 3015?

For the first one, I've been playing the tabletop for a few years now, however my experience with battletech/mechwarrior stems from my father, who introduced me to the pods out in San Diego back in '96. To many this wouldn't be a big deal, but considering I had never met my father until that point, I'd have to say that it holds a special place in my heart that one of the first things he shared with me in my life was Battletech/Mechwarrior.

I've been following development of "mechwarrior 5" since Microsoft canned it in favor of Mech Assault.

You seem to think that my issue is with this game not growing fast enough, that "I want it all and I want it now." when actually, what I want, is for this game not to fail. I've walked this path before, with this license, and seen where it goes. Mech Assault and Mech Assault 2, while ok games, buried this franchise for 10 years [and Mechwarrior Dark Age almost did the same to the table top game] And I'll be damned if I want to see the same happen again! And this keeps feeling like it's heading down the same road.

We have bugs in this game that have been around since the 2nd wave of closed beta! We have issues that haven't been addressed in over 9 months! We're nearing "Release" of the game, and half the content ment to be in the game isn't even there yet!

Hell EA could buy this title and we'd never know development is so damn slow.

Fair enough point, it just didn't come across in your initial post

I have barely paid a passing interest in Battletech to be honest, though I did love the mechcommander games.

I think thats where a lot of peoples problems lie, they have this grand universe in their heads (and it is pretty awesome, started reading the novels a few weeks ago), but I honestly don't think a mere computer game is ever going to live up to those expectations.

So many of you bow down and kiss the feet of PGI, "OH THE MASTERS HAVE GIVEN US MORE BUGS, PRAISE BE TO THEM!"

Excuse me for not just rolling over and taking it.

This thread(or rather the original post) should have been an email to PGI and IGP instead of a QQ thread. The forums might not be so bad if people would stop posting threads because they want attention. Also, I hope the forums do not represent the community because most reasonable people take one look at forums and run the other way.

By gaming do you mean playing Tecmo Bowl when you were 5.

Competitive gaming didn't even exist in 1988, what is your point of contention?

PGI, you've grown to be a source of boundless amazement to me.

We were meant to be in the middle of community warfare right now by the original plans... in fact, by now, we'd have even had the clan mechs.

If you remember they had initially planned to convert Mech4 over to MWO with little issue but bad things popped up and they had to start from scratch. Delays happen my friend all through life, if anything growing older has taught me that the things I cant control I cannot let bother me. Sure you can control your money by pulling the plug and going elsewhere and that is every persons right to do so.

You asked if I'm a gamer, I grew up starting with the NES, the first game I have vivid memory's of playing was Metal Gear when I was 3.

Competitive gaming, as we know it, cropped up around 95-96 with games like "Ghasp" Mechwarrior2, and Doom, I was a part of that generation of gamers too ya know... Like I said I've been "competitively" gaming with the battletech/Mechwarrior franchise since playing in the pods back in 96'.

One could argue however that "competitive" games as we know them now, didn't start till the Unreal Tournament/Quake 3 days... of course there were games like StarCraft and the like that changed their respective genre's of gaming in the competitive scene. If we're talking "Mech Sim" competitive gaming, Mechwarrior's always been the kinda "go to" mech game.

So allow me to ask you this Soy, what is it you want out of this game? What is it that keeps drawing you to Mechwarrior:Online?

JADE. Don't mind the others. They defend such a mess as if they're getting paid for it. When the fact of the matter is that most of the community put down money in hopes that PGI was going to deliver on promises made since the begining and yet it is us getting a** f*cked for it. And they are like "whoops, I'm sorry you lost your money." In my opinion they are doing some bad bussiness management, bad customer service....but they are only answering to higher ups who are money grubbers.

No some of us are adults and know when you invest money there are risks. I like every other person here slapped money down before anything was playable by myself. So I made an uninformed decision which in any investment circles is a bad move. So the only person to blame about money spent is the spender, not the person/organisation getting it. Sure I am disappointed with bugs but I know bugs happen, I am more disappointed with design changes like coolant flushes and 3rd person view. You know why? Because those were pillars that they swore they were against breaking. When I complain I complain about that, not issues any intelligent person knows crops up in betas and any intelligent person would not plop money down and then blame others. So yeah I will defend PGI about bugs and you can make fun of me and others like me all you want. I will hold their feet to the fire on design elements though, so in this thread you only see half of me personally on the issue of PGI and if you can feel good about your judgment then so be it.

I don't think any MW was ever competitive to be honest. Nobody ever looks back at mid 90s gaming and points to that, it's Goldeneye, Quake, Unreal, StarCraft, Diablo, UO, things like that come to mind. At least, nobody I know has ever once mentioned MW as being some sort of pinnacle of skill. Ever. I've been around the block just like you, cept my travels took me way beyond the MW realm. This is really not a big game nor is the IP, which is both indicative and a shame since it has a lot going for it fluff-wise, always has and always will. I don't think it's ever been legit mainstream at a time when competitive gaming was legit, however. That's a tragedy.

What do I want out of this game? Fun, through a variety of arbitrary avenues, what else would there be... of course, I took a break, which I recommend (once again) you do as well to find your chi or zen or w/e schtick you want to come up with. But srsly, can I haz ur stuff plox?

How do I exactly "roll over and take it"?

What I'm doing is trying to beat a bit of sense to you.

For one thing, forum is a place intended for discussion, not speeling out something everyone knows already and could spell the whole thing backwards if he wanted to with closed eyes.

For the second thing, what exactly are you trying to achieve here with blaming someone? Do you think they're going to bother to go to the forums and read all of that? Moderators are the only people who will ever see this thing and I'm talking about community volunteer moderators, not devs (not those from PGI, anyways).

Oh, wait, there is one thing you do achieve... alienating the forums for suggestions and actually constructive feedback. All of that is burried under sensless masses of unconstructive spam like yours and most likely will never see the light of the day because of people like you.

I do not wnat to defend PGI when it comes to bugs or design decisions. I may agree or disagree with them, but if I ever were to actually want to do something about it, I'd have to personally contact them, becuase the only place which should be my go-to place for such things is filled with non-organised bunch which puts football hooligans to shame.
