Will try and replicate but so far have had this twice. Bought two Highlanders and kitted them out. After saving, noticed they had 1T spare. Went back in, and the engines were missing a heat sink.
Added the heat sink back in in each mech. Unfortunately didn't monitor the amount of cbills I had so don't know if I was charged for the missing heat sinks.
So will try changing loadouts a few times and see if I can get it to happen again.

This Happens to me as well, I figured it was a known bug,
The heat sink just gets dumped into your inventory, so no loss of C-Bills

This happened to me ages ago (closed Beta?), I havent noticed it since, but will have to check my loadouts tonight.
